Niche Productions presents the Audio-Visual event of the decade as Amon Tobin brings his ISAM Live spectacular to Melbourne's Palace Theatre.
On the 20th May 2011, the internet lit up as a teaser for Amon Tobin's new live show ISAM Live debuted. The Brazilian born sonic master from Ninja Tune, who cut his teeth on early Drum n Bass records has gone on to be recognised as one of the most advanced sound engineers in contemporary electronic music, was preparing something extra special that had never been achieved before. With the teams of V Squared Labs, Alex Lazarus, Vita Motus, Leviathan and Ninja Tune, he has completely thrown the rulebook out the window as to what can be achieved with the standard projection format and on Tuesday 5th June, Melbourne can experience it first hand.

Known to many for his Cujo records and the early triple j radio fave Nightlife, Amon Tobin is one of the Ninja Tune record label's most known figures in Australia and after a string of successful albums like Permutations and Out From Out Where, he became known to gamers, SFX admirers and Metal heads with albums like Foley Room, the current ISAM and the soundtrack to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell game. "In building a seamless sound and visual projection system that, and I am not hyperbolizing, gave Daft Punk's AV people a run for their money, the very point Amon Tobin is trying to make is that the only "real" experience is one that's had in person." -URB Amon Tobin will also be releasing a box set on the 21st May which features 7 x CD, 6 x 10" vinyl, 2 x DVD and a number of posters in a bolt fastened box. Combining a wealth of unreleased material and assets surrounding the ISAM experience, this is an excellent representation of all that Mr Tobin and friends have been up since the release of the ISAM album in May 2011. Taking a painstaking number of days to travel and erect for a rigorous crew, ISAM Live is destined to be a show not forgotten in the minds of music lovers and the likes of film-makers and artisans across the city. Truly an amazing feat, the ISAM Live tour is not due to come around our shores again anytime soon, so don't miss out.
