David Helfgott, one of the world's best loved pianists, returns to Melbourne with an exciting new programme in the magnificent Hamer Hall at the Arts Centre on Wednesday August 19 at 8pm.
Acknowledged as one of the most remarkable musicians of his time, David Helfgott will perform works by the greatest romantic composers including Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninov, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumble Bee with which he dazzled a huge audience at the Oscars, the night Geoffrey Rush won Best Actor for his portrayal of David in the film "Shine" .
