On the 20th of November 2017 in true Hats Off! style, there will be a showbiz night to remember. 20 fabulous numbers with amazing performers celebrating 20 years of this annual showbiz fundraising event. What better way to say our final farewell than to go out with a bang at The Sydney Lyric Theatre on the set of “Beautiful – The Carole King Musical” (thank you Steven Found and Michael Cassel!). Directed by the man that brought you sold out World Aids Day Concerts and the Orlando Fundraiser, Trevor Ashley, it guarantees to bring you the entertainment that has set the stage alight for 20 years. Since it’s humble beginnings at the Footbridge theatre in 1997, Hats Off! would be nothing without the generous stars that have donated their time to help mitigate the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS. Original producers James Lee and Margi de Ferranti are back to honour those stars and already they are lining up to be part of what should be a special event – Queenie van de Zandt, Nancye Hayes, Simon Burke, Silvie Paladino, Jacqui Dark, Lara Mulcahy, Rhonda Burchmore, Mitchel Butel, Shaun Rennie, Donna Lee, Phil Scott, Jonathan Biggins, Rachael Beck, Michael Cormick, Amy Lehpamer, Lisa Adam, Anne Wood, Kirby Burgess, Chloe Zuel, Angelique Cassamatis, Loren Hunter, Shauna Jensen, Peter Eyers, Paul Capsis, Chloe Dallimore, Esther Hannaford and cast members from Beautiful plus Minnie Cooper and a bevy Sydney’s top Drag Queens.
