The record–breaking, award–winning show LIMBO, makes its Sorrento debut  as  part  of  the  Spiegel Zelt Summer Season. Performing  in  the  Spiegel Zelt located in prime position adjacent to the Three Palms Bar at 154 Ocean Beach Road. 

Last year, Producer James McPherson launched the Spiegel Zelt in Sorrento The inaugural season was a summer time hit, playing host to the hottest show on the Mornington Peninsula with sold out houses. 

Once again the beautiful coastal town of Sorrento will be home to a new world-class cabaret burlesque-circus style production with an outstanding cast of musicians, dancers, acrobats and singers.

Limbo welcomes you to an exotic illogical world, where peculiar characters wait on the edge of false awakening with the whisper of spirits and domination, illusion, suspension; LIMBO UP CLOSE is boundless.

An intoxicating mix of cabaret, circus and acrobatics, LIMBO UP CLOSE WILL seduce Sorrento audiences with a celebration of otherworldly proportions.

Directed by Scott Maidment, LIMBO whisks audiences into a sinister netherworld of gut-churning contortion, breath-taking acrobatics and jaw-dropping stunts. Music is a dominating force of the production, with New York’s Sxip Shirey composing exclusive music for the show with his ecstatic melodies, irreverent electric-acoustic noise and playful, sexy beats. Sxip is accompanied by exceptional musicians Mick Stuart and Eamon McNelis.

LIMBO UP CLOSE comprises a stunning international cast featuring: Coney Island’s sword swallower and vintage beauty, Heather Holliday; French gravity-defying Chinese pole master, beatboxer and clown, Mikael Bres; the exquisite French-Canadian aerialist, Evelyne Allard; and the unstoppable hand balancer Danik Abishev. 

Music is a driving force in LIMBO UP CLOSE, with Sxip Shirey from New York behind the thrilling live score of what he describes as JANK! Constantly surprising, always funky, very sexy and a little bit off-kilter, Shirey describes his sounds as “a New York brass band marching through New Orleans on its way to an all-night party in Berlin. It’s brass, electronics, surprising sounds, hip-hop and club beats.” 

LIMBO UP CLOSE is poised to set Sorrento on fire this Summer as it performs throughout the season, adding to the buzz and excitement of the coastal holiday precinct of Sorrento.
