An Afternoon in Vienna
Sunday 17 April, 4PM

Featuring the best loved melodies of Vienna’s famous Strauss family, from the Emperor Waltz to the Blue Danube with some Polkas and Galops along the way.  Enjoy a glass of champagne and a slice of cake during the interval to enhance the Viennese experience. The dynamic UWA Symphony Orchestra will present an exciting and memorable afternoon filled with popular, lilting classics.

Paavali Jumppanen in Concert

Paavali Jumppanen is one of the generation of young Finnish piano virtuosos currently taking the concert world by storm. His complete cycles of Beethoven and Mozart have been hailed for their freshness and piercing intelligence.  Paavali Jumppanen is joined by some of the nation’s most talented young musicians from the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne for an engaging program of solo piano and chamber music, featuring works by Beethoven, Debussy and Poulenc.

Rising Stars presents Carnival of the Animals
Sunday 19 June, 4PM

Music on the Terrace continues to support the best young musical talent in Western Australia with this fun-filled program featuring the ever-popular Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens. Brilliant pianist Shuan-Hern Lee is joined by other young musicians from around the state, under the leadership of distinguished violinist Paul Wright, for a wonderful afternoon of music-making.


American Beauty
Sunday 31 July, 4PM

The outstanding St Georges Cathedral Consort make a much anticipated return to the Ballroom with their esteemed conductor, Joseph Nolan. The program features music from the American tradition including Bernstein’s West Side Story, In The Beginning by Aaron Copland and the glittering Rio Grande for two pianos and chorus. The consort will be joined by pianists Emily Green-Armytage and Mark Coughlan. This is a concert not to be missed.




Brahms Sonatas for Violin and Piano
Sunday 11 September, 4PM

Internationally acclaimed Canadian violinist Alexandre da Costa, a new arrival to Perth, joins forces with local pianists Anna Sleptsova and Mark Coughlan to present the complete sonatas for violin and piano by Johannes Brahms.

These works are among the greatest and most cherished of the repertoire and this is a rare opportunity to hear all three sonatas in one concert.

Jane Rutter: Flute Spirits and The Four Seasons
Sunday 2 October, 4PM

Jane Rutter is one of Australia’s most celebrated performing artists. We are delighted to welcome her back to the Ballroom with an exciting program that weaves its way from Vivaldi’s Four Season to Indian Ragas and haunting Irish folk tunes.  Jane will perform on up to 12 different flutes including some made from gold, silver and bamboo. This promises to be an extraordinary and unforgettable afternoon of music.
