JUST ANNOUNCED
*National support announcement MARK LANEGAN (USA)
*Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chamber Strings added in Melbourne
*Queensland Symphony Orchestra string players added in Brisbane
*12 piece choir (Sydney Opera House, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane Riverstage shows)
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds announced in December that they were bringing their renowned live show to Australia in February and March 2013.
Tickets are sold out for the 3 Sydney Opera House shows, Enmore Theatre and Thebarton Theatre and tickets are selling fast for all shows with a couple more dates about to sell out.
There will be no further shows added to the schedule.
On this tour the band will bring music from right across their fifteen studio albums including the rich inquisitiveness of their beautiful new long player ‘Push The Sky Away’ (released tomorrow Feb 15 2013).
Always powerful and engaging, the current touring line up of Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Jim Sclavunos, Barry Adamson, Martyn Casey, Ed Kuepper and Conway Savage will take to the stage in Australia’s most majestic and beautiful venues with the grandest production of their career.
In great news the support for all the Australian shows except the Opera House will be none other than MARK LANEGAN. Not a man to mince words or unnecessarily use them, Mark’s only gravelly comment about the dates was “I’m opening”.
As if these spectacular shows could get any better It is also with great pleasure we also announce that the band will now also include the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chamber Strings at the Myer Music Bowl and string players from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at the Brisbane Riverstage in addition to a 12 piece choir in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
