Riverstage Brisbane

Directions:

Bordered by the Brisbane River, Botanical Gardens and Alice Street. Walk in access is via Gardens Point Road, The Goodwill Bridge, or the Botanical Gardens.

Parking:

No parking is available on site. Patrons can use the various inner city pay-for parking stations. Limited metered parking along Alice Street.

Public Transportation:

Please contact Translink on 131 230 to check routes and schedules of buses, trains, ferries and CityCat services, or visit their website at www.translink.com.au.

The closest train station is at Southbank (we recommend patrons make use of the Goodwill Bridge which stretches from the Southbank precinct to the entrance to the Riverstage).

Otherwise, Central Station is another option (but is about a 20-25 minute walk).

Box Office Numbers:

A temporary box office will be set up for gate sales on the day of performance. This will be set up on the University side of the Riverstage, next to gate 1 adjacent to the Goodwill Bridge.

Types of Payment Accepted:

Cash is accepted. Credit cards are also acceptable for certain events - please contact Ticketmaster on 136 100 to confirm if it acceptable for the event you are interested in. Note there is no ATM at the venue and pass outs WILL NOT be issued for patrons who need to leave to access an ATM machine.

Accessible Seating:

Wheelchair access is through Gate 1.

For reserved seating events, wheelchair positions will be available in Gold Reserve seating (subject to availability).

For General Admission price category, there is a Wheelchair Area available on a platform at the top of the hill looking down on the stage (side viewing). Please Note that there are toilets available but are not near the platform.

General Rules:

For any event listed as "18 years and over only", current photo ID must be taken (regardless of your age). It is a requirement that ID is carried by all persons attending an 18 years & over event - failure to have your ID with you will result in the venue refusing to allow your entry (and refunds will not be given for those that have failed to bring their ID).

Children Rules:

Venue policy is that children under 6 years are not permitted. Under no circumstances will they be permitted to enter. This includes babes in arms. Children 6 years and over will be permitted to attend with adults but must have a valid ticket, provided the event is not listed as an "over 18's only" event.

Miscellaneous:

General admission:
General admission at the Riverstage means that unless patrons are willing to sit on the ground (most of the venue is grassed areas on a gentle slope), then they will be standing.

Conditions of entry:
Patrons are not permitted to bring the following into the Riverstage: chairs, skateboards, studded fashion items, food, drink, umbrellas, cameras, video or audio recorders of any type (** see note below), laser pointing devices, large flashlights, torches, fireworks of any kind, full (or empty) beverage bottles, cans & containers, weapons of any kind and any other items considered harmful to others.

All bags will be searched. A personal safety and security search is a condition of entry. Prohibited items can be deposited at the cloakroom. Please Note: The Cloak Room will only recieve items that are prohibited for entering the venue. Illegal items will be confiscated. Patrons must not stand on bins, fence etc. Any and all injury caused and or suffered as a result is the patron's responsibility. Note: once you have been scanned into the venue there are no pass outs given under any circumstance.

Cloak Room: Please note that the Cloak Room is for Prohibited items only. Only items that are prohibited from entering the venue will be recieved.

Bad Weather Policy:
Please note that this is an outdoor arena. If rain or bad weather occurs the show will still go ahead. No refunds for bad weather will be authorised unless the event is cancelled.
