Roch Voisine, is a Canadian singer-songwriter who sings both in French and English and who has recorded over 20 albums in his 25 years music career. He is well known for his folk-rock and pop tone on Hélène, I'll always be there, Higher, Kissing Rain, Americana 1-2-3 and Confidences amongst others
Voisine's musical breakthrough came with his 1989 album Hélène which sold 3million copies and became a major hit not only in Quebec but also in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Hélène was awarded the Best Album prize at the Victoires de la Musique.
In 1991, Roch Voisine was awarded France's Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and in 1993, Voisine had his biggest English-language hit to date with the single and album both entitled I'll Always Be There.
Most recently, Roch Vosine renewed with success with the Americana adventure with more than 80,000 copies sold in less than 3 months. The album was certified Platinum. His album Confidences, sold in Europe and Canada, was certified Gold with 50,000 copies sold two months after its release.

In-depth Biography
Though he wrote songs as a teenager, Roch Voisine studied physiotherapy at Canada's University of Ottawa. He began a solo career in 1988, however, releasing his self-titled debut the same year. One year later, Voisine wrote and recorded "Helene" with Stephane Lessard. The single and following album were successful in Quebec and France, eventually selling over one million copies.
