360, DRAPHT & SETH SENTRY
HEADLINE SPRUNG HIP HOP FESTIVAL 2013

The country’s biggest All Aussie Hip Hop Festival just got bigger! After blowing the roof off Brisbane two years in a row, this year SPRUNG HIP HOP Festival is heading down south so all the Melbournians who’ve been screaming for us can get in on the Sprung action as well!

This All Ages event has assembled the biggest, baddest, most explosive hip hop line up since.....um, never! Featuring ARIA Award winning, chart toppers 360 and DRAPHT alongside a stellar line-up that includes Channel [V] Oz Artist of the Year SETH SENTRY, THE FUNKOARS, HORRORSHOW, THUNDAMENTALS, DIAFRIX, BRAD STRUT, ALLDAY, THE CRATE CARTEL, BAM BAM, LAZY GREY & JAKE BIZ, DIALECTRIX, PURPOSE, MR HILL & RAHJCONKAS, K21, ELOJI, KOMPLETE, CHELSEA JANE, SAVO and it wouldn’t be a hip hop party without URTHBOY!!

What can we call him? An unstoppable, magnetic whirlwind of success? Why not, because 360 is quite simply massive right now. How could 465,000 people on facebook be wrong?  This year 360 is saying goodbye to his Falling and Flying ways with a very special show for Sprung Festival. Since the 2011 release of his sophomore album Falling & Flying, the Melbourne rapper has notched up a top five ARIA album, a #1 iTunes chart debut, three entries in the 2012 triple j Hottest 100 ('Boys Like You' #8, 'Killer' #37, 'Throw It Away' #84), and he also won the award for the 2011 Channel [V] Oz Artist of the Year.

DRAPHT always delivers a set that lives up to his monster reputation, with hits like ‘Bali Party’ and ‘Sing It’ off his Aria number 1 album, ‘The Life of Riley’. This year has seen DRAPHT return to his roots playing a plethora of intimate venues throughout Australia. Having reconnected on a personal level with his wide fan base DRAPHT is back and now ready to attack the festival format with gusto and his own unique style. With a fifth studio album in the works and singles set for release in the lead up to SPRUNG 2013, he is by no means the new kid on the block.

The 'The Waitress Song', introduced SETH SENTRY to us when it placed at #31 on 2010’s coveted Hottest 100. But it was his debut album ‘This Was Tomorrow’ that sent everyone into a spin and had Channel [V] award him Oz Artist of the Year. At this point who doesn’t know ‘Dear Science’ or “Float Away’? He had Storm Troopers and super soakers on stage last year. What has SETH SENTRY got in store for the SPRUNG crowd this year?

Adelaide 2003, three MC’s and one DJ release their debut album under the name of  ‘THE FUNKOARS’. Things haven’t been quite right since! Ten years, three albums and a lot of damage later, the FUNKOARS have one of the biggest cult followings in Australia. Their albums “The Hangover” and “The Quickening” received critical acclaim and earned triple J’s coveted “Album of the Week”. The FUNKOARS have been on what appears to be a non-stop rollercoaster of highlights and hangovers. But don’t worry, they’ve been in the studio and what they’ve been cooking up is ‘the boss’!

HORRORSHOW have been hiding out for a while, but we found em! Solo and Adit are one of the most exciting young hip hop acts in the country and they’ve sold out every headline show they’ve ever done in Sydney. They’ve blitzed all the major Australian festivals (including Big Day Out, Splendour and Groovin’ the Moo) proving their appeal across all genres. 2013 marks HORRORSHOW’s first appearance at Sprung festival.

URTHBOY’s highly anticipated album 'Smokey's Haunt' was released on October 12 last year to rave reviews. It debuted at 14 on the ARIA Album Chart and 1 in the ARIA Urban Chart. It was Triple J Album of the Week and The Australian gave it 5 stars saying it’s “Absolutely captivating, play on repeat”. How stoked are we that we’ve finally got him at SPRUNG!

Horn, Horns and more horns! That’s what we love about the THUNDAMENTALS’ stage show. If you haven’t experienced it, there’s nothing else like it. Luckily for Brisvegas and Burn City, the only capital cities the THUNDAMENTALS are playing during their national regional tour will be at SPRUNG FESTIVAL.

The legendary BRAD STRUT is ready to introduce a new generation to his raw power and stage presence. This Australian Hip Hop pioneer will rip up SPRUNG 2013 in an iconic show that promises to showcase hits from ‘The Authentic’, ‘Legendary’, ‘Legend: Official’, ‘Fallout Shelter’ and ‘Rejuvination’.

Joining them on two giant stages are Melbourne’s own CRATE CARTEL, featuring MAUNDZ, FLUET FORM, DISCOURSE, RAVEN and GEKO who’ve never been seen up on stage before for a dedicated set of this magnitude.
