Manfred Mann arrived in Australia 50 years ago on top of the pop world. As part of the sixties British Invasion, they were here for a sell-out tour of the nation promoting their worldwide No. 1 hit ‘Do Wah Diddy’.

50 years on The Manfreds featuring original members Paul Jones, Mike D’Abo, and Mike Hugg are back, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their band Manfred Mann, and their classic hits such as ‘The Mighty Quinn’, ‘Pretty Flamingo’, ‘Sha La La’, ‘If You Gotta Go, Go Now’, ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’, ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ and of course that classic song…There she was just-a-walkin' down the street, singin’…."Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do”.

Their numerous pop hits were R&B-based with an undercurrent of jazz - a very unusual but winning combination of playing style and substance. As a result, their records have a timeless quality that many of their contemporaries never attained. One night only at The Palms at Crown, Saturday July 11.
