The season includes the exhilarating music of Viva Verdi! in concert at Melbourne Town, a return to Mozart with the mysterious adventures of The Magic Flute at the Arts Centre Playhouse, with Music Director Richard Gill as conductor and Samuel Dundas as Papageno. The new season also includes the world premiere of How to Kill your Husband (and other handy household hints), an adaptation of the popular Kathy Lette novel by composer Alan John and librettist Tim Daly at the CUB Malthouse with a dazzling cast including Christa Hughes, Tobias Cole and Threepenny Opera stars Dimity Shepherd and Melissa Langton. In July Britten's poignant and comical opera Albert Herring with Melbourne favourite Suzanne Johnston will be presented in the Playhouse, followed by a very special Baroque Triple Bill at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
