WILLIAM REID STAKES - FEATURING PRIDE OF THE NATION - BLACK CAVIAR - FRIDAY NIGHT 22ND MARCH
Moonee Valley has been integral in the Black Caviar story, with our world champion mare winning six races over our 1200 metre journey, including the 2011 William Reid Stakes (Group 1). Following her gallant win in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, the connections of Black Caviar decided to continue her racing career.

After returning in the Lightning Stakes at Flemington, Black Caviar has been nominated to contest the 2013 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday 22 March. This could possibly be the last time that Black Caviar will race on a Victorian racetrack, and the Moonee Valley Racing Club will be staging a special night of racing and entertainment to celebrate the amazing career and contribution to racing that Black Caviar, her owners, trainer Peter Moody and jockey Luke Nolen have made.
