I purchased a seat for the Essendon v North Melbourne game last week. My seat was on Level 2 Aisle 37 seat 3. Very happy to know that it was in the centre of the oval. Great viewing area. The cost of the ticket was $110.00. Was happy to pay that. When I was guided to my seat by the usher it was right behind a steel guard rail. Very disappointed with that for the price I paid. I remained there for the whole game because of the crowd size. Every time the ball went to the North cheer squad end, my vision was obscured by the rail. I am a North member and when the game was very close near the end of the game, an Essendon player kicked the ball to an unguarded goal line. the ball was bouncing towards the goal posts when an Essendon fan sitting directly in front of me but to the right side of my seat stood up barracking. I told him to sit down whilst the ball was in play. He wasn't happy with my request and we argued. Could've easily got out of hand but I didn't carry on with it. In saying this, if that handrail was not there, then this incident would not have occurred. I would be interested to know if any other supporter has raised the same issue.
Brilliant venue, great atmosphere, plenty of takeaway foods, reasonably priced, great view, great entertainment.
As an older country man, 76 years old. I was a bit worried about the new experience of tickets on my phone instead the old ticket way of having a ticket in my hand which I could just hand over as I entered the game. Anyway found the new ticketing arrangement quite easy, will not have to worry in the future, just book the ticket and put it into my phone wallet.
Why is it so hard to get tickets if your club is now associated with Ticketmaster? I am a member of NMFC and Ticketmaster does not recognise the bar code of my membership..
Attended game on Saturday Afternoon. 1. The queuing at gate entrance was slow and was unable to access ground until half way through 1st quarter. 2. Food variety was limited to fried food (expensive and undercooked chips - $15.00 for chips and 4 chicken nuggets; or Boost. 3. Half of the open grandstand had tents in front of the stand - for players etc. These tents blocked all of the forward 50 and then some. I arrived wondering why entire section was empty. Turned around and realised why. The other half of stand also had blocked view. The tents were very high and peaks of tent well above height of those inside. Very disappointed.
Love the atmosphere under the roof at marvel. Easy to select seats on Ticketmaster
The venue is great and the event was spectacular, one of the best AFL games I have watched
Front row seats were great. Entrance process was easy. The young lady at gate 2 who held the reader was not all that friendly however. Would give the night an eight out of 10.
My son and I had a great night at Marvel, and we look forward to going back 👍
