  • Excellent night out with the family

by Cathy on 14/4/25Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

I had seen 3 previous productions of Annie in Sydney with my eldest daughter and was delighted to be able to attend this production with the whole family including grandchildren. This performance met our expectations with a brilliant cast, new digital sets and a wonderful band. This show never gets old and each production exceeds the last. I look forward to future productions so that I can introduce more of my grandchildren to the joy of musical theatre as they reach an age to appreciate it.

  • Great Night Out with Warlow stealing the show

by Musical Theatre Enthusiast on 12/4/25Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 3 out of 5

Polished upbeat show with fantastic dance numbers from the entire cast - even Annie was backflipping! The use of the screen in the backdrop was very clever and seemed to offer endless possibilities. The ending felt a bit anticlimactic as I was expecting it to be similar to the film and was looking forward to seeing how they would use the staging to pull it off, but this didn't happen so it was a bit disappointing. Warlow as Warbucks was wonderful but I thought the romance between his character and Grace should have been played up a lot more. What's with Grace's wardrobe? Terrible, even the housekeeper had nicer dresses. Annie also came across as a bit too polished with her slick red bob - not very orphan like! Special shout out to Greg Page who did a great job as Roosevelt.

  • A wonderful experience

My granddaughters and I had a great time. All the children are super talented and there was no doubt they loved performing. The storyline was so easy for the children to understand. It was a feel good type of show.
