Bad Apples Music and the Dungala Kaiela Foundation in collaboration with Australian Live Music Industry Leaders including Frontier Touring, Live Nation Australia, Live Performance Australia, and TEG Live, announce Now & Forever a unique concert event set to take place on Friday 6th October at the Shepparton Showgrounds, Yorta Yorta Woka.

An Artist and First Nations led initiative, Now & Forever is a celebration and invitation to stand in solidarity with community, to amplify choosing yes for the 2023 Referendum.

Invited by Bad Apples Music founder, rapper, and author Briggs, Now & Forever will showcase an epic line-up of supreme Australian talent who champion a way to yes, including:

Now & Forever is a Live Music Concert in Shepparton Victoria, Yorta Yorta Woka.  

Now & Forever 2023 is an Artist and First Nations led initiative by Bad Apples Music and the Dungala Kaiela Foundation in collaboration with Australian Live Music Industry Leaders including, Frontier Touring, Live Nation Australia, Live Performance Australia, and TEG Live, plus hundreds of other individuals and organisations who empower the region.

Now & Forever is funded by private donations. Both the Yes and No campaigns for the Referendum 2023 are funded by private donations and were both granted tax deductibility status by the government. For more information about Referendum 2023 visit https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/

An artist playing order will be released closer to the event. 

Artists will perform short sets individually on one stage. Throughout the day there will also be guest appearances and collaborations. 

Net proceeds will be distributed to not-for-profit and charity organisations.  

  • Deadly Science - Deadly Science creates STEM equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders learners. DeadlyScience has grown to be Australia’s leading Indigenous STEM charity working with over 800 schools and community organisations across all states and territories. More about Deadly Science here
  • Djirra - Djirra is a place where culture is shared and celebrated, and where practical support is available to all Aboriginal women and particularly to Aboriginal people who are currently experiencing family violence or have in the past. Djirra is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation governed by an Aboriginal Board of Directors who are elected by the members. More about Djirra here.
  • Dungala Kaiela Foundation - This Foundation aims to support initiatives that will empower First Nations people in the Dungala Kaiela region to achieve prosperity. The Foundation was established in 2008 as a non-profit company limited by guarantee. An independent Board that has Indigenous and non-Indigenous members is responsible for its governance.  More about Dungala Kaiela Foundation here.  
  • Adam Briggs Foundation - The Adam Briggs Foundation creates quality programs with big impact. The Foundation nurtures and supports First Nations excellence within the creative industries, particularly music, by creating spaces, strong partnerships and developing support programs for emerging and established artists.   • The Dhadjowa Foundation is a national grassroots organisation that’s been established to provide strategic, coordinated and culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families whose loved ones have died in custody. More about The Dhadjowa Foundation here
  • The Archie Roach Foundation 
    The Archie Roach Foundation nurtures meaningful and potentially life-changing opportunities for First Nations artists by providing mentoring, development, and performance programs to emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders artists. More information here

All tickets are general entry. BYO rugs and standard sized camping chairs sitting no more than 23cm high. 

Children under 12 years of age are free. Now & Forever is an all ages event. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent or legal guardian at all times. Please consider if the environment is right for them. Some performers may have content and/or lyrics which you may consider inappropriate for children. Please note: there is no shade or protection from sun or rain. Prams are welcome, please ensure not to block views or access paths for others.
