Parking

The Arts Centre's undercover car park is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The car park entrance is located at the corner of Sturt and Kavanagh St Southbank (behind the Arts Centre). Car parking for people with disabilities is also available, however, limited spaces are available. Valet parking is available and booking is recommended 24 hrs in advance. Alternative Car Parking The Australian Ballet car park is located across the road from the Arts Centre. The entrance is located on Kavanagh St Southbank. Public Transportation

The Arts Centre is a short walk from Melbourne�s main railway station, Flinders Street Station and is easily accessible from the many trams and buses that travel along St Kilda Road.

Box Office Numbers

Group bookings for events at the Arts Centre should in the first instance be directed to Ticketmaster Group Bookings on (03) 9685 2477. The availability of Group Bookings for any event will be entirely at the discretion of the promoter.

Box Office Hours

A Ticketmaster box office is located on Level 5 of the Theatres Building (under the spire) and is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm and if there is a Sunday performance, 1 hour prior to show time. The box office sells tickets for all Arts Centre and Ticketmaster events.

Accessible Seating

A TTY phone system operates to allow direct access to the Arts Centre by phone for people with hearing disabilities. The dedicated number for this service is (03) 9281 8441. A hearing system is available in all Arts Centre venues except BlackBox and the ANZ Pavilion. The system utilises a FM signal, providing coverage to all seats in the venues via headphones or neckloops, and is available from the venue ushers. There are accessible seating options in all of our venues which can be booked in person at the Arts Centre Box Office, any Ticketmaster Ticket Centre or by phone (credit card only) on 1300 136 166. Patrons may seek assistance into the auditorium from any of the front of house staff either at the St Kilda Road Level Concierge Desk in The Theatres Building or in the theatre foyer. There are a small number of wheelchairs available for in-house use (i.e. from carpark to seats) but these must be booked by calling the Concierge on (03) 9281 8298. Accessible car parking is available in the Arts centre car park, however, limited spaces are available. Lift access is available to all levels however, there are steps into and inside the auditorium at all levels. Entrance doors in the stalls are at either end of Z row or doors 3 and 4 with which are close to Row J. There are shallow steps throughout the stalls so the closer to Z row, the less steps there are to negotiate. All the other doors in the stalls are exit stairwells only. The only entrance doors in the circle are at either end of G row or at either end of WHH row. There are steps throughout the circle so the closer to G row or WHH rows the less steps there are to negotiate. The other doors in the circle are stairwells only. There are steps to negotiate for all balcony seats.

Children Rules

The Centre regularly has performances specifically for children, particularly during the school holidays. Children aged one year and under can attend a designated childrens performance free, provided they do not occupy their own seat. The child can sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. Please contact us to check if the event is designated childrens event. If children, including babies, are attending any other paid performance at the Centre, they must hold a ticket for that performance. If you would like assistance with feeding and changing facilities, please see a theatre attendant.
