  • Chicago Fantastic

T,he performance was spectacular. The staff at the Theatre were very helpful in ushering us to our seats. My Husband and I were to see the show in June, however due to Covid, were unable to attend, the very professional staff at the Ticketmaster Help Centre were wonderful, they arranged for us to change the dates, which enabled us to see this wonderful performance.

  • Incredible, professional, spot on

Second time I have seen Chicago In Sydney 2024. I have seen the show 3 times previously since it was first played many years ago and I think this interpretation is the best. Zoe Ventura is amazing as Thelma and her dancing is another level. Would recommend it. It is very enjoyable.

  • Beautiful theatre, great show!

by Bobly Bob on 25/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

We loved Chicago last time (and previous production too) so decided to see it again! Loved it again! Our seats were great even though not close to stage didn’t miss anything! The theatre is a great design and very comfortable. Australia has so much talent! Brilliant dancing, great singing and snippets of comedy.

by Ally on 23/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

We bought tickets at what we thought we’re going to be a bargain cheap for a poor viewing experience but absolutely the opposite happened. Our seats in row YY were absolutely outstanding. We could see perfectly and absolutely love the show. It was a breeze getting into the theatre. Everything was just perfect.

My friends and I loved the show; the cast, their voices and choreography were extraordinary.

  • Awesome Musical Theatre

by Sonia on 22/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

An excellent musical theatre experience. Living in the country, I don't get to come to Sydney for many musicals. Great acting, singing, orchestration & backdrop. Beautiful surrounds of the grand old Capitol Theatre. Even the public transport was seamless. A great day had by us all.

  • Not worth the money

by Steph on 22/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 3 out of 5

Capital theatre is always a lovely place to watch a musical! However Chicago was NOT worth the money. The stage performers were great however the stage didn’t have any props nor were their any costume changes. Characters that died would then go on to play other roles which was just silly. I would say save your money and spend it on another musical

  • Amazing

by Gailkae on 20/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

I purchased tickets solely because Anthony Warlow was in this production. He was more amazing than I expected but what I was not expecting was for the rest of the cast to have been so fantastic. It was one of the best productions I’ve seen due in large part to the extraordinary cast. Everyone from the band and the ensemble to the leads were nothing short of magnificent. Anthony Warlow and Peter Rowsthorn were phenomenal. Zoe Ventura and Lucy Maunder were outstanding as were Asabi Goodman and Steven Valeri. The music of Chicago is well known and loved but the quality and standard of the singing and dancing in this production is next level. It’s been many years since I have enjoyed a musical as much as I did this one.

  • Amazing Energic Entertaining

by Mimi on 20/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 4 out of 5

Great Cast of super talented singers and dancers. Loved every minute! HOT HOT HOT. Venue at Capital though need to improve on crowd control, scarey amount of people all trying to get through the doors. And the lines to get to the ladies bathroom was way too long

  • Chic-a-gogo

by Harry on 19/7/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

Seen two previous productions. This was pretty hard to beat. So much talent. So much energy.

  • Show was Anazing

    by Jules1 on 18/7/24Rating: 3 out of 5

Luckily I saw the show in Melbourne, because in Sydney our seats had restricted viewing (not advised when buying and paid full price) were off to the left side and couldn't see the whole left hand side of stage nor could we see the mid section where performers came out as the Maestro was standing in front of it. The show was amazing the cast absolutely fabulous, just seating ruined the experience.

Great show! Recommend seeing it 'at least' once. Took the in laws there as part of their 50th wedding anniversary, and although they aren't frequent visitors to the theatre, they loved it...They are already wanting to go again!
