  • Overall ok show, definitely not for small children

by MandT on 25/12/24Rating: 2 out of 5

Honestly I think that it could be more spectacular. It was really a showcase for Prinni Steven’s who was really great at singing the Christmas songs. The two male dancers were ok, but slightly out of sync, the other dancers were just doing the basics. The magician was ok but it was a weird inclusion. The hula hoop lady was the only one that was spectacular with high skill level. Not suitable for kids really as they would be bored out of their brains as Santa only made two appearances and was very basic. Smaller children were so disengaged they caused a racket in the stands. Probably better to go to a local Christmas carols night and save money

  • My daughter and I were bored. Not spectacular at all

  • Feels like Christmas!

For a first timer to this show "Christmas Spectacular"at the State Theatre in Sydney was fantastic, hosted by the amazing and beautiful voiced Prinnie Stevens which had a mixture of Christmas carols to dancing to magic and hula hoop spinning to artistic manoeuvres on a hoop stand to Santa arriving it really felt like Christmas was here, my mother and I had a lovely night.

  • Very Good Show, but 2nd half needed variety

by Sandy on 22/12/24State Theatre - SydneyRating: 4 out of 5

Attended Christmas Spectacular on 20 Dec 6.30 with my 5 grandchildren - aged 12 to 19. We also attended last year. Show was excellent, with wonderful Christmas spirit. Loved the dancers & singers & illusionist. However, was almost identical to last year, in content & performers. (ie same singer, illusionist & dancers). 1st half was excellent. 2nd half was more of the same. Suggest another singer to accompany Prinnie Stevens, maybe male. Also different performers in 2nd half incl additional singer to give variety. Although enjoyed, probably won't convince grandchildren to go again next year, if same performers & content.

  • A spectacular show!

by Carol & Katie on 17/12/24The Fortitude Music Hall - BrisbaneRating: 5 out of 5

We loved every part of the show - wonderful singing & dancing, clever illusionist, great costumes & effects. It was thoroughly entertaining. Just a shame the AC in the theatre was SO cold it was uncomfortable!

  • Not that entertaining for kids

by Daph on 16/12/24The Fortitude Music Hall - BrisbaneRating: 2 out of 5

Very disappointing, wasn’t really the family entertainment it was advertised as. Children were not engaged. Music lagged, singer forgot words, magician was dull.

  • I thought it would have been more spectacular

by Deb on 16/12/24The Fortitude Music Hall - BrisbaneRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the show, however, the advertising for the show suggested it would be really exciting. I was a little disappointed.

  • Awful, save your cash

by Jmq on 16/12/24The Fortitude Music Hall - BrisbaneRating: 1 out of 5

Awful, disappointing, underwhelming to say the least. Not exactly the spectacular or christmas theme it's sold as. Do not waste your money on this "show".
