After two sold-out shows with the Grammy-winning Robert Glasper Experiment at the 2012 Festival, genre-shaping bassist, composer and producer Derrick Hodge returns to Melbourne with his highly anticipated new project.

A musical mastermind with a vast horizon of influences and styles, Hodge has performed and recorded with jazz titans such as Mulgrew Miller and Terence Blanchard, R&B stars Jill Scott and Maxwell, and hip-hop icons Kayne West and Common. His 2013 Blue Note debut, Live Today, combines lush harmonies, cinematic soundscapes, blistering improvisation, and raw bass-driven grooves.

Instantly recognisable as the voice of ERIMAJ, Chris Turner brings his distinctively dreamy vocal charm to Australia for the first time.

Deftly combining streams of jazz, hip-hop, funk and soul, Turner has recorded and toured with the likes of Bilal, Chris Brown, Soulja Boy and Sean Kingston, and features on Esperanza Spalding’s acclaimed Radio Music Society project.
