The (at least!) ten-strong, Hottest 100-conquering neo-hippie combo from California are putting a skip in the step of the world with smile-inducing songs from the name-making Home to the happy-go-lucky Janglin' and 40 Day Dream. Led by former Ima Robot frontman Alex Ebert (who transforms himself into the messianic figure of Edward Sharpe), EDWARD SHARPE & THE MAGNETIC ZEROS' debut album Up From Below is a free-spirited return to the sounds and daisy-chain vibes of the 1960s.

Since playing their first show in 2007, the group's rise has been rapid - with one of their proudest achievements so far stemming from these parts, where Home made No.15 in Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2009.
