For the first time ever, Sydney’s Cahill Expressway overlooking Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, will be transformed into a spectacular stage. ELEVATE Sydney is a free, six-day entertainment and cultural celebration featuring more than 180 performers from morning to night on the Expressway.

From 1 to 6 January 2022, ELEVATE Sydney will be the place to be, bringing together a diverse mix of Australian artists and genres. There’s something for everyone with a jam-packed program including children’s entertainment, sport themed variety shows, disco, musical theatre, youth, First Nations, pop and more.

ELEVATE Kids is designed to give children a day they’ll never forget and tap into their sense of wonder and excitement. Each day features a different mix of popular performers guaranteed to get children singing, dancing and smiling from ear to ear including The Wiggles, Junkyard Beats, Erth, Kangaroo Beach and more!

ELEVATE Arena delivers a daily variety show with sports interviews, exceptional music and an athletic display of juggling, hula hooping, cabaret and tap dancing.

Club ELEVATE features dynamic free music events from disco to hip-hop, world acclaimed musical theatre and First Nations artists. Getting there

ELEVATE Sydney ticketholders are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time. Public transport is the easiest way to get to and from the event with various major transport hubs within short walking distance of the event site. 
Circular Quay is the closest transport hub to the event site with frequent trains, buses, ferries and light rail services all within short walking distance of the event entry off Macquarie St. Alternatively, Wynyard, Martin Place and St James transport hubs are also within walking distance of the Cahill Expressway entry point at the corner of Bridge and Macquarie Streets. Remember masks remain mandatory on public transport and you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling to and from. Plan your trip by checking the Opal app ahead of time. You can also check real-time capacity indicators when planning your trip or boarding services. 

The Cahill Expressway Overpass at Circular Quay will be closed to traffic during the event. The Cahill Walk will also be closed to pedestrians. There are a number of car parks within  short walking distance of the entry to ELEVATE Sydney  however spaces will fill early, particularly ahead of the evening sessions so allow extra travel time or try booking ahead.  
Parking restrictions will be in effect from 6am to 8pm during the event on sections of Bridge, Grosvenor and Macquarie Streets so check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed. For more details including real-time updates on traffic conditions visit  livetraffic.com.

Accessible ticket holders can enjoy ELEVATE Sydney’s unique event site with friends and family. Accessibility hosts will be available during the event to provide assistance as required, and accessible toilets and baby change facilities will be available on the event site. There will also be an elevated viewing platform at main stage, with limited capacity.

If you are a person with disability, you can book an accessible ticket for you and your group (up to 5 companions for morning and afternoon sessions, and up to 3 companions for evening sessions). Please contact Ticketmaster’s Accessible Booking Line for further information.

Entry and exit to the event will only be from the corner of Bridge Street and Macquarie Street, opposite the Conservatorium of Music. There will be no access to the event via the existing footpath on the Cahill Expressway from Circular Quay, The Rocks or via the lifts from Circular Quay.

All sessions of ELEVATE Sydney will be free, but you must book a ticket via Ticketmaster to attend.

ELEVATE Sydney is an all-ages event. You must have a valid ticket for everyone in your group, including children, and all under 16 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult from the same household.

All tickets must be secured via Ticketmaster. A limited allocation may be available from Ticketmaster on the day, subject to availability.

Yes, food and beverage outlets at ELEVATE Sydney will offer a range of different cuisines. All purchases will be contactless, and you will be asked to provide photo ID for alcohol purchases.

Commercial foods, eskys and picnics will not be permitted to enter the venue. Specialty food requirements for children and babies will be assessed on entry.

We also recommend that people take advantage of the wide variety of food options in the Sydney CBD, Circular Quay, and The Rocks before and after the event.

No, ELEVATE Sydney is a licensed event and BYO alcohol will not be allowed. Alcohol will be available for purchase at the event.

A COVID-Safe Plan will be in place for ELEVATE Sydney. For the health and safety of everyone at the event, all ticket holders aged 16 and over will be required to show proof of double vaccination or medical exemption prior to entering the event site and social distancing protocols must be observed. People under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult from the same household. Hand sanitiser will be available at regular intervals across the event site and our team will be keeping a strict cleaning regime to keep you and your loved ones safe.

ELEVATE Sydney will comply with any COVID-19 restrictions and directions around physical distancing measures. Adequate space is available onsite for guests. Event staff will be onsite to monitor crowding in popular areas.

Tickets to each session are limited to ensure there is space for a safe and enjoyable experience.

ELEVATE Sydney will comply with NSW COVID-19 Public Health Orders at the time.

No pass outs will permitted for ELEVATE Sydney.

Prams and strollers are discouraged due to space limitations at ELEVATE Sydney.  As they will not be permitted in the entertainment areas, a limited amount of pram storage will be available in the venue once you have reached the top level of the Cahill Expressway. This storage is free of charge and monitored by staff during the day, however, items will be left at own risk and ELEVATE Sydney will not take any responsibility for misplaced property. We recommend using baby carriers and leaving prams and strollers at home. Backpacks will be permitted for this event, including nappy bags and other similar items.

The ELEVATE SkyShow takes place from 1 to 5 January 2022 at 10pm for 5 minutes. 

Guests on the Cahill Expressway will have the best view of the ELEVATE SkyShow, however it will be possible to see the ELEVATE  SkyShow anywhere with a view of Sydney Cove.  Please note the SkyShow will be weather dependent.

Being an outdoor event, ELEVATE Sydney is an all-weather experience. Ticket holders are advised to check the weather report before attending and bring appropriate clothing. We will advise ticket holders if a session is postponed or cancelled due to weather.

Please note umbrellas are not allowed on the ELEVATE Sydney site. Please check the prohibited items list for more information.

ELEVATE Sydney is an outdoor event. While there will be some shade cover in select event zones, we strongly advise all ticket holders to bring appropriate sun protection (hats and sunscreen) to the event.

No. ATMs will not available onsite. Bars and food trucks will not accept cash. We recommend paying with card, Apple pay or similar device at our food and beverage outlets.

●       Drones or loud hailers without the prior consent of the Event Organiser

●       Animals (only guide dogs are permitted)

●       Seats, crates or camping chairs

●       Skateboards, scooters and bicycles

●       Prams and strollers will not be permitted in the entertainment area. There will be pram parking available free of charge at the entrance to ELEVATE Sydney and monitored by staff during the day. However, items will be left at own risk and ELEVATE Sydney will not take any responsibility for misplaced property. We recommend attending the event without your pram if you are able.

Please note that ELEVATE Sydney is a smoke-free event. Vapour and e-cigarettes are also prohibited.

During ELEVATE Sydney the Cahill Expressway above Circular Quay will be closed to both traffic and pedestrians.

The southbound lanes on the Cahill Expressway will be closed prior to the event from Sunday 26 December to Monday 10 January and the northbound lanes will close from Thursday 30 December 2021 to Friday 7 January 2022. Drivers can use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel or detour through the Sydney CBD during this time.

The Cahill Walk will also be closed above Circular Quay from the Royal Botanic Garden up to the southern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The walkway on the Sydney Harbour Bridge will remain open during the event.
