Infectious Grooves was a funk metal supergroup that formed in 1991. The band was led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman, Mike Muir, and featured members of other prominent metal and funk bands. Their music blended elements of funk, thrash metal, and punk rock, creating a unique sound that drew from multiple genres. Infectious Grooves released their debut album, "The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move... It's the Infectious Grooves," in 1991, which was met with critical acclaim. The band released several more albums throughout the 1990s before taking a hiatus. Despite brief periods of inactivity, Infectious Grooves remains a highly influential and respected band in the funk metal genre.
