  • Great music, emotionally exhausting

Definitely not your feel good type of musical. I found it quite unsettling, but the music is amazing. Talent from start to finish.

  • AN AMAZING PRODUCTION ! JC YOU HAVE MY VOTE

by musicrockgoddess on 10/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

i have never seen this musical in any version , although loving the kate cebrano , jon stevens and john farnham everythings alright release from years ago ............i have never listened to the soundtrack itself but , i got it out and all week have had it in the car blasting out an amazing song fest full of feeling , heart, and downright musical genious .. so would i enjoy this version ?? from go to wo.. each character gave thier all with powerful vocal performances . Judas(javon king ) he could be a metal singer !!! Jesus and mary magdalene did not disappoint . i thought maybe ? ms barnes has had lessons with ms cebrano as if you closed your eyes for a second she sounded very close.. this lady can hold her own and i am happy she was billed as such and not being the daughter of.. the dancers gave strong support to the vocalists and was just fab. i really felt for the character of Pilate, being manipulated by the priest who wanted Jesus dead . herod was played deliciously by Rueben kaye who is a master of presence. I loved his colour , humour , and he did well doubling as announcer to show and closer . I felt the pain of christ being tortured and shunned by all who claim to have loved him .. The set was simple but effective and WOW just brilliant. i know from here on in if it is on again i will be first online to purchase tickets ..well worth the cost ....................................you have healed me Christ ..

  • Brilliant!

    by Lindi333 on 10/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Was really looking forward to seeing this after being a fan since the 70s. Was hoping not to be disappointed. The singing was just superb, and I loved every minute. I was caught up completely in the emotion and thought the actors who played Jesus and Judas were outstanding. Fabulous casting, although it would have been good to have a younger actor playing Mary as she came across more like his mother. Would definitely recommend seeing it. I have been singing the songs (badly) all day as the performance really moved me.

  • In awe of the talent of the cast!

by Mary Doll on 9/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about this show was 10/10. As soon as the guitarist began playing, the energy in the room was powerful. The singers voices were outstanding and the dancers were such an integral element of the performance. Go see this if you can!

by Debbie on 6/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the show but found it hard at times to understand the words that were sung by some of the singers which made it a little hard to follow.
