  • Super Star!

by Moi on 6/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed the show! Singing and dance movements were wonderful and told the story well. Accompanying band was often too loud and drowned out the singers so words couldn’t be understood. Overall very good!

  • Background music too loud

by Richard on 6/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 3 out of 5

Background music too loud overpowered some of the singers so could not hear what they said and tended to shout

  • Jesus Christ Superstar

by Silverhair on 4/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 4 out of 5

A very enjoyable event that progressed to a remarkable climax. The staging was brilliant and sound excellent but I felt took some time to get going.

  • Fantastic!

by Maree on 3/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

This show was fabulous. The caliber of the musicians and lead singers was incredible. Not sure if I preferred Judas or Jesus more they were both so exceptional. What incredible voices!!! A must see.

  • Fantastic show, magnificent vocals

by Ros on 3/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Loved every minute of this show. All roles with such amazing vocals - just loved it- took me back to the ‘70’s musically

  • Not my favorite show

by Deb on 2/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 1 out of 5

Found it hard to follow. For a rock opera the words were not clear enough to follow the story. I love musicals but not this one. Not the casts fault they were amazing. The set was bleak and I found the show quite boring.

  • What an incredible performance by all

by Annie M on 2/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

  • Fabulous

by Debs on 1/3/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw the matinee in Perth and was so impressed with the talented singing, dancing and overall performance, well done!

  • Mind Blown

by Xx on 1/3/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Seen 2 previous productions which I liked so I wasn't expecting much thinking nothing could top those priductions.. But it was fabulous, a modern rock hip hop culture take on the story. I laughed I cried. We were in the front row. The intensity of the actors and the power of their voices was incredible. The dancing was mind blowing.

  • Magnificent

by Barry on 27/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

A wonderful performance by all. Congrats! Had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My 14 year old daughter Ellie thought the same.

  • Very good show, excellent seating

by Phil on 26/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

The event was very well organised , we were early and took advantage of the bar facility. When the door opened we were ushered to our seats. The seating arrangement at Crown is very good with plenty of leg room. Unlike some London Theatres The show itself was excellent very different to the first time we saw the show in London. The cast was great and the whole stage set was very vibrant. we really did enjoy the sound and lighting effects.

  • Very well done but...

by Warren H on 26/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed this latest version JCSS but couldn't help comparing it to the version I saw MANY years ago - Jon English, Marcia Hines in the early 80's. The 80's version was excellent. I recognized a few of the songs but they were 2025 tweaked, done well for the most part, but a little unnecessarily in my opinion..... If it ain't broke ....... The quality of the music and singing itself was excellent. The only real downside to me was the choreography. I've never been a big fan of 'interpretive dance' and whilst energetic and well timed, the actual movements seemed to have no reason - none that I could make out anyway. I am sure most people will enjoy it and I certainly overheard many people expressing same as I left.

  • Energetic and unforgettable

by Jane on 24/2/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding performance with special reference to Judas and Jesus. Updated modern version of a classic. Very moving. Performance date Matinee Sunday 23/2

  • Amazing performance but confronting

by Nik on 23/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 3 out of 5

This was an amazing performance though Judas could be enunciating better, as he was difficult to understand. But it was quite violent and confronting. My friend had seen this show several times and said this was the most gruesome version she'd seen. BUT crown theatre needs to replace their seating. All the stuffing has gone from the chairs and they are now painfully uncomfortable.

  • Super Jesus

by JR on 23/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 4 out of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed this show Time flew as mesmerised by the choreography, vocals & amazing music

  • Superb production

by Deb on 23/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 5 out of 5

Superb unique production and excellent cast. Could not fault any of the voices and left wanting to see it all again. Well done to everyone involved!

  • Sound mixing off - singers drowned out

by Leo on 23/2/25Crown Theatre Perth - BurswoodRating: 3 out of 5

The set and dancers were great, but we struggled to make out the singers' words as they were overpowered by the music, especially Judas. Herod was very clear.
