LOVE POLICE and FRANKIE PRESENT.

M. WARD
AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2011

Love Police and Frankie are extremely excited to announce a February tour for one of America's most unique talents, M. WARD.

It's been a long time between visits for this incredible artist, and the good people of Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney will get to reap the reward of his many and varied musical journey since those last shows.

M. WARD will perform solo, and will be playing a repertoire from across his catalogue in stately theatres at the artists' request.

Special guest at all shows will be HOLLY THROSBY who will be performing with her three piece excellent band. HOLLY will be dropping a new album in February called ‘TEAM' as well, and this will be the first unveiling of her new musical treats for us all.

While past critics have compared M. WARD to everyone from John Fahey to Tom Waits with his brilliant guitar playing and innate sense of melody, he is one of those rare and special talents who defy comparisons and compartmentalization. Like a true American treasure, he cuts his own groove while music fans continue to fall under his whispered spell.

Since first really getting noticed with 2003's "Transfiguration Of Vincent" through to 2009's "Hold Time", M. WARD has found an ever-increasing and dedicated audience falling for his deft guitar picking, bar room piano, and voice like drizzled honey have also made him a huge favorite of music critics.

Of course along the way he has been involved in a couple of very special projects worth noting. In 2008, he was part of the duo known as She & Him, a project he began with actress/musician Zooey Deschanel. The duo has now released two critically acclaimed records. Also the same year saw the debut release for indie supergroup, Monsters Of Folk. The star studded line up featuring Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes, and M. WARD

Add to the above his production work he is also renowned for, having helmed not only his own releases but also Jenny Lewis' much-lauded Rabbit Fur Coat. He has collaborated with some of the world's best musicians including Cat Power, Norah Jones, and Neko Case.

All things considered, this show promises to be an incredible night of musical wonder featuring the sweet and soulful sounds of M. WARD and HOLLY THROSBY and band.

You can catch M. WARD at the following venue:
