    Outstanding Venue

by Kevin C on 8/10/24The Barracks Precinct, North Head Sanctuary - Manly

This was our second year in a row we attended a concert at Night at The Barracks, love the venue and location, great food and alcohol stalls, very well organised event inside the venue and love the buses direct to the event from Manly and return again.

    Xavier

by Kris on 7/10/24The Barracks Precinct, North Head Sanctuary - Manly

Got there at 6. Went straight to food trucks. Served at 6:55. Still eating when Xavier started. Considering they allowed no food to be brought in, this was really poor. Xavier was great as always and saved the night. Seen him several times before. This was the first time we brought the kids. They loved it.

    Left before half time

by CollaroyP on 30/9/24The Barracks Precinct, North Head Sanctuary - Manly

The set up of the barracks was great. The band was good. I can't find any other redeeming features. Horribly disappointing in terms of talent, staging, and crowd management. I took my daughter and we had kids standing in the aisles and in front of us so we couldn't see a thing. We had to move seats twice and eventually gave up and left after about 30 minutes. It was VERY disappointing. I thought it was going to be a fun Taylor Swift concert with costumes and a bit of performance element but it was NOT THAT at all. A heinous waste of money.

Absolutely Awful Performance - Taylor Made Tribute

by Christy M on 30/9/24The Barracks Precinct, North Head Sanctuary - Manly

The Taylor Made, Tribute to Taylor Swift was absolutely awful. Marketed as a "tribute show"it was nothing of the sort. Was like a bunch of middle-aged women decided to do a karaoke show together, but didn't bother to learn the words or the melody to any of the songs. If the tickets were around $20 - $30.00, it would be acceptable. However, tickets were priced upwards of $100 each - for that price point you expect to see a professional show with talented performers. All of the performers struggled through their songs, a few worse than others... off tune, mumbling through verses, confusing the lyrics - complete cringe! Night at the Barracks should better vet these shows moving forward, completely discredited the venue, huge disappointment overall!

A fun experience but marred by transport

by JJ on 28/9/24The Barracks Precinct, North Head Sanctuary - Manly

I really enjoyed the event, but missed out on seeing the Bag Raiders as transport to the event was terrible. Due to my mate having to work late and not knowing when he would finish, he had to drive to the event. I got dropped off at Manly by my wife, and my mate collected me to park closer to the event. The shuttle bus option was no good to us because we would only be able to get to the pick-up point AFTER the last bus (6:30pm). So parking was an abomination, not that that is your fault. BUT! For the sake of ease, why not put on a shuttle service (for free) that just does a circuit to/from Manly so EVERYONE can get there in a timely and easy manner. It would be in the best interests of the community and especially the neighbours. Secondly, the price of drinks was abominable. Over $14 for a beer is ridiculous. Thirdly, the tickets were a gift from my wife to myself and my mate, for Father’s Day. We got GA tickets. The distance away from the stage was ridiculous. The Platinum tickets easily took up 3/4 of the event. The ticket prices weren’t cheap, another 30% on top to get closer than 3/4 of the way to the stage is ridiculous, especially since the Platinum areas were nowhere near full. The prices for tickets compared to the length of The Presets’ set was too much. To end a Friday night at 8:45 after a short set, especially regarding the travel time, walking time and then having to walk back to our car seemed like hardy worth the time. Except I love The Presets and it was a great set. So, in conclusion, a better transport system would be greatly beneficial
