About

From drum beats to aerial feats, guitar licks to high kicks: The Tivoli has declared Open Season on live music and entertainment in Brisbane this summer.

Open Season is a curated series of concerts and live performances taking over the iconic live music venue and breathing life back into Brisbane’s performing arts scene from November 2020 to February 2021.

One of the distinguishing new features of the Open Season program is the development of a premium dinner and show experience (for Bite Club and Le Coup) that is reminiscent of famous underground cabaret theatres throughout Europe.

Throughout the Open Season program, The Tivoli will capitalise on its new hospitality partnership with City Winery, delivering curated, seasonal menus, premium drinks, and sophisticated bar food, made fresh on-site, to guests.

The Tivoli is operating to a limited-capacity, sit-down audience configuration at all Open Season shows – either cabaret-style or dinner-and-show – in keeping with COVID-19 social distancing requirements.

Open Season was assisted with funding through the Tourism and Events Queensland, and the Queensland Government’s Arts and Cultural Recovery Package, including the Live Music Venue Support program and Arts Queensland’s Play Local initiative.

FAQS

Tickets go on sale Monday 28 September at 10am AEST.

The maximum number of guests at any Open Season performance will be 250 (compared to the regular seated capacity of 700). Measures to maintain social distancing will be in action at The Tivoli with groups distanced 1.5m between them. The Tivoli will be operating under the guidelines of the relevant COVID Safe Plans, and they ask you to kindly follow instructions of their staff and security.

Under the current COVID restrictions, Open Season guests are required to remain seated at all times (unless going to the bar, bathroom or to purchase merchandise). You are encouraged to dance and sing along, but from your chair and not on your feet.

The Tivoli recommends arriving as close to the door time as possible, so that you have enough time to get ushered to your seat, grab and drink and some food before the show begins. The venue is not open before the specified door time. It is recommended that you arrive with your group, as you’ll be seated together.

This includes a new selection of fabulous wines from Gerler Wines. Guests are also welcome to order food directly from the bar.
