About

Phum Viphurit is a singer-songwriter based in Bangkok, Thailand. He writes charmingly and irresistibly inviting music — his interpretation of alternative indie-pop soars with buoyant melodies and comfortably familiar themes of finding your own voice and exploring your place in the world.

Beginning his music career in Hamilton, New Zealand, where he resided for 9 years before relocating to his birthplace of Bangkok, Phum will make his anticipated trip Down Under for his debut Australia and New Zealand tour.

Phum gained international recognition in 2018 from his dance floor-filler single, ‘Lover Boy’, and sleeper hit, ‘Long Gone’, in 2017. In the time since his EP Bangkok Balter Club (2019), Phum has also released a string of collaborations with 88 Rising artists NIKI and Higher Brothers, Se So Neon frontwoman So!YoOn!, jazz-funk artist Thomas Ng, instrumental duo The Photo Sticker Machine, and fellow Thai singer-songwriter, Valentina Ploy.

In 2023, with the release of his sophomore album The Greng Jai Piece, the next international tour is coming. His meteoric rise to international recognition paved for highly successful, sold-out headline shows and premier billing at music festivals in Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Phum’s music has reached an international audience, gaining a record-breaking 44.6 million streams on Spotify across 173 countries last year.

Joining Phum Viphurit across all Australia and New Zealand dates will be Thai-Australian songwriter, and Ones To Watch artist RICEWINE. The solo musical project created by Talae Rodden, the 23-year-old songwriter has released a number of albums, most recently including 2022’s ode to countryside Victoria, In Valley, which follows 2020’s Lovesick. With a consistent release schedule and dreamy sound, RICEWINE has transformed his lofi, DIY approach into globally well-loved tracks and sold out shows throughout the region.

Don’t miss Phum Viphurit on his highly anticipated debut tour of Australia and New Zealand this April and May.
