About

The Tony Award winning Broadway Musical PIPPIN is now playing at the Sydney Lyric at The Star only until 24 January.

Starring Ainsley Melham as the young and confused protagonist Pippin and Gabrielle McClinton as the charming and manipulative Leading Player. Returning to the stage after an extraordinary award-winning career in television Kerri-Anne Kennerley plays Berthe, Pippin's saucy grandmother. Simon Burke plays Pippin's demanding father Charles, Lucy Maunder takes on the widow and mother role of Catherine; Leslie Bell plays Fastrada, and Euan Doidge is Pippin's half-brother Lewis.

Full of extraordinary acrobatics, wondrous magical feats and soaring songs from Stephen Schwartz, the composer of WICKED and Godspell, PIPPIN has been lovingly crafted to become Broadway's high-flying, death-defying musical. This unforgettable new production is the winner of four Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and was hailed as "A Right Royal Treat" by the Sunday Telegraph and "an evening of magic" by The Guardian.

PIPPIN is noted for many Broadway standards including "Corner of the Sky", "Magic To Do", "Glory", "No Time At All", "Morning Glow" and "Love Song".

Please note: The Sydney Lyric will operate in accordance with its COVID Safe Plan with the goal of ensuring that your experience at the theatre is made as safe as reasonably possible. The COVID Safe Plan applicable at the time of your visit will be made available on the venue website.
