General Rules

Moulin Rouge! The Musical - Major Event Declaration: To eliminate the risk of fraud, you are advised to purchase tickets from or, as purchasing a ticket from an unauthorised seller can result in the ticket holder being denied entry. Many unofficial sellers will list tickets for sale, even though they do not actually have those tickets. This is called "speculative ticketing". They are speculating that they will be able to get tickets and then resell them to fans. Those speculative listings are not real tickets in hand (they do not actually have tickets to sell). Beware of these sellers. Moulin Rouge! The Musical is subject to a major event declaration under the Major Events Act 2009. It is an offence for a Moulin Rouge! The Musical ticket to be sold, or offered or advertised for resale, at a price exceeding its face value purchase price by more than 10%, unless the seller is authorised in writing by the ticketed event organiser. Breaches can result in heavy fines of up to $96,714 for an individual and $483,570 for a company. For queries regarding the Major Events Act, contact Conditions of Entry: Alcohol, hot drinks, cans, bottles and recording equipment cannot be brought onto the premises. Children Rules

Please enquire as to what the individual show policy on children attending is. Most productions are considered to be unsuitable for children under the age of two years. Parents choosing to visit with children under two are asked to purchase an aisle seat in the Stalls as the safest option and are asked to be considerate of other patrons. If your child is causing a disturbance we ask you temporarily leave the auditorium. Please liaise with the theatre Front of House staff on arrival at the theatre. There are a limited number of cushions available for children that are under the prescribed height limit, for Stalls patrons only. Patrons are not permitted to bring their own cushions.

Drinks & Snacks: Drinks and snacks are available at all bars at the Regent Theatre. Marriner Group practices the responsible service of alcohol. Cloakroom: There is a complimentary cloakroom available in the downstairs foyer on the right under the stairs. There is a visible sign or please see an usher on entry to the theatre. Cushions: We are unable to distribute any cushions at the Regent Theatre due to current Government restrictions. Patrons are allowed to bring their own cushions for small children only.
