About

This will be Sami Yusuf’s very first Tour of Australia. The founder of the “Spiritique” genre is set to grace stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

With the Guardian recognising him as the biggest British star in the Middle East, and the United Nations appointing him as both the World's Global Ambassador Against Hunger and the promoter of World peace and harmony, Sami Yusuf is by no means your typical British celebrity.

Many have come to know him as purely a singer, but over time, Sami Yusuf has proven to be a lot more than that. Those who genuinely know him, recognise him for his staggering talents as a composer, arranger, producer and instrumentalist as well.

The transcendent message of traditional music, and the sense of the sacred sit at the core of his passions. Sami vehemently believes that all the world’s traditions are expressions of the same ultimate truth. Music for him is an expression of Divine love and the love of all the great traditions. These pure beliefs shine through in his singing, composition, the arrangement and performance of vocals where he prefers the use of traditional instruments to more modern ones.

With over 34 million albums sold to date, he’s been able to reach and positively influence people from all corners of the world and bring them closer together. His lyrics are a clear expression of his yearning for peace and harmony with rhythms inspired by global traditions, and melodies spun from all lived truths.

Through his dedicated involvement in humanitarian efforts such as the World Food Program, Sami palpably succeeded in devoting his fame to help feed the world’s most needy. He was quickly appointed as the Global Ambassador Against Hunger by the United Nations.

In his more recent efforts as an Ambassador for the World Interfaith Harmony Week, Sami reached out to people of all major faiths through the world’s first interfaith anthem, The “Gift of Love”. Through this effort, Sami hopes to help people from different traditions recognise that the common values they hold far outweigh the differences they have, and thus provide a strong dosage of peace and harmony to their communities.
