  • Fantastic singing by everyone in the show.

by Russdy on 17/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 4 out of 5

The first half was a little slow but after a break, they all came back and did themselves proud. Just amazing the way they worked together, got some good laughs, and seemed to really enjoy themselves. And the best of it was, the crowd came alive and got behind them. There where some pretty amazing performances and I want name them, because it could imply that some where not as good, which is not true. The experienced ones did what was expected, as experienced professionals. Great show - better than the performance in New York in 2011.

This is probably the best musical that we have been to. The show was just superb with wonderful music, and stage props. The cast are very talented with amazing voices. Do yourself a favour and get yourself to Sister Act. You won't be disappointed.

  • Energetic

Loved the show, vibrant, colourful, energetic, only disappointment was that none of the original songs from the novie were performed

  • Absolutely Fabulous

by Tammy on 16/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

Casey Donovan is simply the best - a natural star shining brightly - her total professionalism and singing with her co stars and not over the top of them just proves her quality - a total natural - she’s simply the best

  • A MUST SEE

by Sister Mary Rewa on 15/8/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Sister Act is 2.5 hours of feel good fun. I have already been twice in the first week of the shows run and I would happily go back every week! The cast is absolutely fantastic. High energy, incredible harmonies and new characters to love. The all new songs are so beautiful, I cried 3 times! The nuns are such a wonderful group of singers - you can help but smile when they’re all on stage. This show is well worth the money, time and the sore cheek muscles afterwards!! Do not miss the amazing colourful set, the sequinned costumes, the hilarious gangsters and the PHENOMENAL dance routines!! Spread the love around!! 🖤🤍

  • Better songs

by Jess on 14/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 2 out of 5

This stage show would have been amazing if the original songs were used. If you don’t use the sister act songs don’t call it sister act very disappointing. Casey sounded amazing

  • Very disappointing .

by Bobby on 13/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 1 out of 5

While the performance of the artists was quite good , the show didn’t reach any great heights . Songs were ordinary & felt sorry for the singers having nothing great to show case their talents . A show I would gladding miss seeing again

  • Disappointing

by Heidi on 12/8/24Rating: 2 out of 5

We were excited to see Casey and in all honestly only booked because she was headlining. But even though it was only the first Saturday of the season, she didn't come on stage. We travelled 6 hours and paid too much money for our tickets. We hadn't read much about the show before hand, and wish that we had. We were surprised that none of the original score features in the musical. The story line is also changed slightly and the casting is quite different to the movie. All the advertising for the show bills it as "if you loved the movie you will love this"and "come and see Casey Donovan as Deloris", perhaps if we had seen Casey it would have redeemed it.

  • Excited but was disappointed

by Excited but was disappointed on 12/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 2 out of 5

Was surprised that it wasn’t aligned to the movie. The setting was a different timeframe, none of the songs we loved from the movie were included. Even some different characters, and the love interest with leiutenent Salva. Really? Whilst the performances were good, the overarching show was a letdown.

  • Sister Act unknown

by Dissapointed on 12/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 2 out of 5

The dancers singers and all crew were fabulous. I went with my daughter and grandson ready to have a great time singing the sister act movie songs. Not one song from the movie. We kept thinking it has to come next. Very dissapointing to realised they did did not have the rights to the songs maybe. It should have been called a different name and then my expectations would have been different. Not fair on the crew. Spent 500 for a story that did not go with sister act. Not even one of my favourite songs.

  • Don’t easy your money

by Disappointed on 11/8/24Rating: 1 out of 5

This was by far the worst musical I have ever been to, I go to all of them. People got up and left during the performance and others didn’t return after intermission. It was amateurish to say the least. I and my other companions were completely underwhelmed by the lack lustre performance and set. It may have been different if Casey Donovan performed, but alas she did not. I have tickets to see this again in Melbourne, but will be giving them away, I couldn’t sit through this boring musical again!

  • Casey Donovan is amazing!

by Tersa on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 4 out of 5

Casey Donovan is amazing, what a star! The show was wonderful, with many funny moments, with a fantastic, talented cast. We were disappointed that there were no songs from the movie but the show was funny and well directed. There were a couple of songs sung by the “criminals” that seemed to go on a bit too long but majority was very entertaining.

  • Amazing!!

by GRACELAND QUEEN on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

The experience was great.. Service was great Ushers were quick to let us in& very friendly staff. I love the Capitol Theatre.

  • A bit disappointing

by Elles on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 3 out of 5

The show is advertised with Kasey and it is disappointing if you look forward to seeing her and she is not performing. If this had been communicated before hand I would have booked on a day that she was performing tickets are not cheap and you expect to see what is advertised

  • No music from the movie!

by Shaz on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 2 out of 5

The cast was great. However, don't go to the show if you're expecting music from the movie, there is none! It was extremely disappointing.

  • Amazing

by Shaz on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 5 out of 5

Loved every minute. Funny, great singing, loved the characters and Dolores was really good. It’s worth it.

  • Brilliant show

by Daz on 11/8/24Capitol Theatre, Sydney - HaymarketRating: 4 out of 5

Brilliant show, disappointing the theatre doors were only opened 10 minutes prior to the show start time causing significant congestion inside the theatre foyer.
