Not what we expected at all
by CJ on 27/4/25Rating: 1 out of 5Every show we’ve seen has mostly stuck to the story line, this was all over the place, we understand that they’ve gotta change things slightly but there was not 1 song from the original movie. The cast had amazing voices but the characters were all over the place. A Spanish? Bloke, why? Eddy being in love with Dolores, why? Eddy singing, why? Gay pride has no place being in a Catholic church set in the 1970s when it wasn’t a thing back then. Just really didn’t make much sense……

Incredible talent, fabulous original songs, amazing costumes (the magic of Velcro!), emotive scenery and immersive lighting! Loved the whole thing. So glad I made it! Great views from seats in Capitol Theatre Sydney stalls. Only suggestion - more padding in the seats!
