Hearing Loop Installed in all theatres. Concert Hall to be updated to match quality of advanced systems in other Opera House Theatres. Whilst all seats are served by the loop, some receive better service than others. Hearing aids to be switched to T for reception of program. For more information on the best seats for the Loop, contact the Opera House Box Office on (02) 9250-7777. Disabled Seating There is a pool of wheelchairs available at stage door. Wheelchair seating is available to everyone through Interbocs. Should wheelchair access be required when tickets are booked, patrons are advised to notify the SOH on 9250 7111 to arrange for assistance and to ensure staff will be on hand to assist upon arrival before or after the performance. Disabled access by lift is available through stage door providing entrance to Stalls level only. Rows A-G in the Stalls have the easiest access. All upstairs levels and behind the stage are accessible by stairs only. Children under the age of five (5) may not be admitted unless for performances specifically for children.

Surtitles Surtitles are like subtitles only they appear unobtrusively above the stage. They provide an English translation of foreign opera and the text selected operas being sung in English. Not all seats have surtitle view. Guided Tours Daily, from 9 am to 4 pm. Telephone (02) 9250-7111. Late Comers: Performances start promptly at the advertised time. Latecomers will not be admitted till a suitable break in the performance. In many instances, especially at opera performances, admittance will not be until after the first interval.
