  • Loved the song "Now and for always"

by Florence Thome on 1/2/25State Theatre - SydneyRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the song "Now and for always". The actors who played Sam, Frodo and Gollum were fantastic and were as good as the movie. The encounter between Frodo and Sam with the spider was well done. The decor in Moria and Mordor were great. The musical runs for three hours and managed to fit most of the story. When the musical comes back to Sydney in a few years, I will see it again.

I really enjoyed this show. The actors were all enthusiastic and seem to enjoy themselves. I loved the actors playing their music on-stage as they acted very clever. The guy playing Gollum was fantastic and the singing added a lot. .If you missed it see it next time. Many stood up to clap at the end.

  • Great production ruined by venue

by Bob on 20/1/25State Theatre - SydneyRating: 3 out of 5

Brilliant production, great cast. But the State Theatre overcrowding and cattle herding before the performance was shocking and ruined it for neurodivergent patrons (and I’m guessing we weren’t the only neurodivergents there).
