Join the legendary Toni Childs for a special two-hour performance as she celebrates her life’s musical works in song and in story. Toni will be performing hits and fan favourites from Union, House of Hope, the Woman’s Boat and Keep the Faith and share stories of how ‘Union’ came to life, in the first hour of her show then the second hour will be an introduction to Toni’s new music, from two very special albums It’s All a Beautiful Noise and Citizens of the Planet.
Emmy Winner and three-time Grammy nominated recording artist, Toni is a celebrated Singer/Songwriter known for her powerful voice, inspiring independent spirit and crafted storytelling. With fans in over 50 countries around the world, Toni has produced a list of international hits such as: Don’t Walk Away, Stop Your Fussin’, Walk and Talk Like Angels, Zimbabwe, Where’s the Ocean, Many Rivers to Cross, I’ve Got to Go Now and Because You’re Beautiful, to name a few.
Over Toni’s illustrious career she has opened for Bob Dylan and performed duets with greats such as Al Green and Peter Gabriel. She has toured the world over gaining a much-loved fan base.
So great to see Toni again, 3rd time (ok so the other 2 were a lifetime ago) but she still has that amazing voice. Keep it up girl, so good to have the stories. The only downer for the night was the bogan women behind who absolutely spoiled it for those around them (Row N about 8-10) bogans..
A totally fantastic night spent loving or only listening to the unbelievable vocals of such a talented singer but hearing some stories behind it all. Am binge listening to albums now ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant performance by a great snd talented artist with energy and feeling. Very entertaining. One of the best shows I have been to. Loved every minute of it. Hoping she does more shows. I would highly recommend that you see her perform.
If u want to experience a connection not only through music but through a more personal vibe connection Toni Child's is the girl that will tick all the boxes. Toni voice brings shivers through out your body as the rawness of her vocals penetrate into your sole. She protrudes passionately and expels love towards all of mankind. Toni child's is a natural beautiful human being that she expresses through her music. Extremely powerful extremely beautiful and extremely talented Women a pleasure to watch her perform. Highly recommend
The lights from the bar area were very distracting. Curtains were used on the r ight hand side but not the left. Chairs very close together made it very difficult to get in and out of a row, with feet wrapped around legs of chairs. Very noisy and drunk patrons. Fortunately after speaking to a security person, two of the offenders left. There was potential brewing for an altercation with other patrons. The venue provides for a very intimate experience, love it.
Absolutely magnificent performance, what a voice and her unique sound, loved her in the 80,s and still do…. Very interesting future projects for this lovely soul 🙏
Where to start of what was such an amazing journey. I bought VIP tickets and made my way early to the theatre where we were ushered upstairs to wait for Toni. When Toni arrived she got us all into a circle and got each of us to tell her a bit about ourselves - this was great bonding session just for the whole group as we all got to know each other. Toni was so beautiful in sharing herself, her amazing positivity with us. The concert was in 2 parts, the old favourites and a wonderful story in the first half and the second brought out new singles (that are amazing), a very personal story of her journey in life and what was almost spiritual as well as some amazing project she is working on. I was lucky to have the best seat bang smack in front and she sang on the stage, sitting on the edge of the stage and interacted with the crowd. She even went upstairs to the dress circle. Her voice remains amazing in fact at one point she sang so close that i could hear her voice without the need for the microphone. The most amazing moment of the night was when the lights were turned off and Toni captivated us with her so beautiful voice. I recommend her to everyone, what an amazing experience and a great way to meet special people in the VIP ticket line. Toni is an amazing human being, so very special and any chance to see her again I will happily go VIP!
Toni's voice is still as good as it ever was. Singing a combination of new and old songs with personal stories told in an intimate atmosphere generated by the Odeon made for a magical night.
Toni sat on the edge of the stage like a long time friend and through her voice she enchanted us with songs of the past and present, stories of her life, projects she is working on and future endeavours. Like no other performance we have ever been too, we left feeling like we had our soul invigorated and a meditative sense of calm and grounding encapsulated us.
