Oi Brisbane, you pack of legends! Pub Choir is returning to The Tivoli for some iconic singing sessions in 2025!

‘What is Pub Choir?’ is not a question asked very often by locals these days, because Astrid and her gang of loons are approaching 8 years of singing chaos! But if you’ve been in an 8-year-long cultural (or medical) coma, let us help you: Pub Choir is an improvised, comedy choir lesson where even the most untalented voices are given something to do. Astrid will distract the room to musical greatness, except nobody ever gets better at singing by the end. We all just try to feel somewhere between 1-10% less ashamed.

You’ll be taught one song in harmony at the show – that’s it! Achievable goals for averagely talented people (that’s everybody).

Join the friendliest, most low-key, chaotic night of music-making that starts on the dot at 7pm and is over around 9pm (HELLO SLEEP). Come on down early from 5pm to enjoy the food trucks, drinks, or to scout for better friends.

Every Brisbane show will be Auslan interpreted, is 18+, and general admission standing.

    I was excited by the idea of Pub Choir, but I didn't really know what to expect as an experience. I certainly didn't think it would be as fun and funny as it was. Astrid was brilliant at getting us to work as a group, and managed a very subtle combination of bullying and encouragement to help us achieve the (very successful) end. I will definitely be there the next time Pub Choir comes to town. Can't recommend it enough.
