Joined by the critically acclaimed Melbourne Opera Orchestra & Chorus, under the baton of Maestro Raymond Lawrence, Silvie will perform more than two hours of beloved Christmas carols and festive favourites - all delivered with the warmth and brilliance that have made her one of Australia's leading musical theatre stars. Adding to the late afternoon's charm, members of the Richard Divall Emerging Artists Program will also share their extraordinary talents. The combination of wonderful vocals from Silvie and the guest performers, plus the Opera orchestra and chorus was a totally enjoyable experience - I felt so lucky to be in an attendance. A beautiful venue and light show enhanced the experience further. A truly fabulous show.
This production was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. The calibre of performers on stage including the wonderful Silvie and the orchestra was second to none. The lighting was also something to behold. What a wonderful way to spend an evening leading up to Christmas. Please put this on next year as I would come back in a heartbeat. It was a privilege and a delight to listen to such magnificent voices.
What an absolute joy it was to experience this concert. First of all was the fabulous huge Orchestra and musical direction. It was exceptional. The singing guests were all of high-quality and the presentation with the lighting and staging was really spectacular. And of course, above all, the incredible talents of Silvie Paladino. She was a tour de force. The power of the voice was undiminished and seeing the spectacular carols that we were all hoping for. She exceeded all expectations. Confirmed my opinion that she is the best stage singer in Australia. She is also so personable and interacted so well with the audience. It was such a pleasurable experience. Left the theatre so happy and uplifted by the experience.
