THE SHEEPDOGS CONFIRMED TO SUPPORT JOHN FOGERTY'S CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL NATIONAL AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS MARCH / APRIL
 
The Sheepdogs, winners of US Rolling Stone's ‘Choose The Cover ' competition, are set to embark on their Australian debut as support to John Fogerty in a string of upcoming Creeedence Clearwater Revival shows this March/April. Handpicked by John Fogerty, the Canadian rockers will begin their tour in Melbourne this March and will also make an appearance at West Coast Blues N Roots Festival in Fremantle.
 
The Sheepdogs initiation into the Australian touring circuit comes hot on the heels of their success in becoming the first unsigned band to ever appear on the cover of US Rolling Stone's magazine. During 2011 they made appearances on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Project Runway and performed at Bonnaroo Music Festival.
 
Built on a solid rock foundation of three-part harmonies and dual guitar leads, the Saskatoon-bred band used the year 2011 to spearhead a modern rock & roll revival.  Last year saw The Sheedogs catapult into mainstream success with their album 'Learn and Burn' achieving Gold certification, their latest EP 'Five Easy Pieces' debuting at No.1 on iTunes Canada and were personally invited to tour with Grammy Award winning band Kings Of Leon across Canada.
Over the years, The Sheepdogs have trekked across Canada in their beaten-down van, but now they are ready to capitalize on their latest successes. "It is now about hitting the road, playing some kick-ass shows, and getting ready to impress people with a new record" states lead singer Ewan Currie. 
 
This year will see the release of The Sheepdogs' next album, produced in Nashville by Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. The new record will cement that the foundation of The Sheepdogs' slew of success is a product of their ability to create timeless rock and roll songs.  They are sure to impress Australian crowds when they hit the stage this coming March/April 2012.
