Always love going to Flemington. Only disappointment is they don’t stock birra beer anymore. It was a nice gesture to offer a free drink if Pride of Jenni won. Crowd was well behaved . Excellent day
Members for 25 years and discontinued last year. With members guest passes we went again to catch up with friends, unfortunately nothing has changed in fact now a little worse. VRC has lost its purpose with its core business “Racing”. Main betting ring deserted tv screens not working - I don’t know it’s lost its way now more of a function complex with racing just something that happens as a side line.
The VRC members dining had a great vibe and as per usual the service and experience was outstanding. I give the review a four as I think they miss the mark with their menu. The sides and accompaniments on mains are odd and not enticing at all and really ruined the dishes (cumquat parfait and artichoke puree) too expensive to not nail it. Otherwise fantastic.
Super day of Racing. Members’ Dining Room was perfect in every way. Thank you.
This is the 3rd VRC Long Lunch event I've attended and is the best organised and stunning lunch on the calendar., value for money. The food and wine was delicious and substantial. Great entertainers had everyone up dancing.
The Champion Stakes Day at Flemington was amazing.
My sons first time and he was overwhelmed. Lots to see and it was great.
We caught up with friends in the main public area. We parked at the Showgrounds and were efficiently transferred to the course by bus. We were able to get a table with umbrella coverage right on the rails. It was superb because we were very close to the mounting yard, betting and drinks facilities and the excitement of the horses racing right past us. Exciting and great social atmosphere with a large crowd around us. Everything was spoton, well done the VRC.
Ian was an excellent host, Informative and knowledgeable, 👌
