Sons and Daughters of the West
The Western Bulldogs, originally the Footscray Football Club were founded in 1877, before joining what would become the AFL in 1925. The club has won two VFL/AFL premierships, in 1954 and 2016 and was runner-up in 1961 and 2021. Whilst their AFLW side, one of the foundation clubs, took home the 2018 AFLW Premiership in the competitions second year. The club's offices and training facilities are located at their famous home of Whitton Oval, whilst they play their home games at Marvel Stadium.
Southern Cross Station is located adjacent to Marvel Stadium and stops for both V-line and Metropolitan train lines. It is a short walk across the Spencer Street/Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge. Marvel Stadium's car parking in Docklands is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with more than 2,500* undercover car parks available daily. Whether you work, shop or 'play' in the city, Marvel Stadium’s convenient location - just a short walk to the CBD - makes it a convenient place for you to park.
Carpark entrance/exit points are located on Bourke Street (A & B), Wurundjeri Way (C) and La Trobe Street (D & E). The car park is divided into four colour sections on each level. Simply park your car and take note of the colour and level you have parked on. There are lifts from each car park level to the internal concourse at Gates 4, 6, 8 and 9.

The bus terminus is at Southern Cross Train Station and services airport transfers as well as routes across country Victoria. Marvel Stadium is a short walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge from the bus terminus.

An elevated, 20-metre wide pedestrian footbridge connects Marvel Stadium to Southern Cross Station and the intersection of Spencer Street and Bourke Street. Access can also be gained off La Trobe Street (Gate 7), Harbour Esplanade (Gates 8 and 9) and Bourke Street (Gate 1, 2, 3).

We expect that tickets to some 2023 AFL games will be in high demand, and to make the process fair for everyone you may be placed in a queue. We recommend signing into your Ticketmaster account at least 10 minutes before tickets go on sale to save your spot and join the Pre-Queue waiting room. Please note, the time you join the Waiting Room does not determine your place in the Smart Queue.
Football at Mars Stadium is such a great vibe. Has a comfortable country feel about it. The ground is amazing and the view from the stands is perfect. Yes, it was sad that not many supporters could go, but they sure made a noise!! The stadium will be fantastic when it is finished as they needed more food outlets, especially coffee, and bathroom facilities.
Courtesy of the ALP losing the Commonwealth Games we had to rebook our tickets which was a stressful nightmare. The Ticketmaster system was not easy to use. Far less patrons allowed in so you had to feel sorry for Port Adelaide fans. Staff at the ground on the day were very polite & helpful.
It was first time at Marvel statuim with my husband to see our teams play.We needed assistance to find our way around.Staff very helpful making sure we were OK.
It was far too warm inside the stadium they should have opened the roof.
Entry to the event (AFL match at Marvel Stadium) via QR Code Scan worked easily, and finding a seat (General Admission) a breeze. Would do it again as so easy.
I just thought it was great, forget about the windy conditions it was great for football and great for Ballarat. The sooner they add the extra seats the better. The crowd was good which added to the feeling. Bring more games to Ballarat.
Just to witness the crowd, the vibe & atmosphere is just out of this world, you have to be there to experience & witness this amazing sport.
I paid $27 for a standing room ticket yet there was no standing room allocated? When I go to the MCG there are designated standing room areas the so called standing room at Marvel is behind seating that is almost taller than me so I could not see a thing. Therefore I had to watch the game on the screens which were a second behind. So disappointed

I sat on level 3 in the GA area. It was good viewing. Staff were helpful. I got into the ground quickly.
This was a hard game to get a ticket too as it was Cripps’ 200th. All the AFL member upgrades sold out and then some more tickets must have been released. Unfortunately it was amongst 90% bulldogs supporters who didn’t want me there!
