After a year off the grid, Thirroul Music Festival is back - recharged and reloaded - Saturday 29 November, 2025.
Just 90 minutes south of Sydney. Multiple venues. One day. All heart.
Returning for its fifth year, this one-day music takeover hits the coastal village of Thirroul on Saturday 29 November transforming Anita’s Theatre and a host of other local venues into a musical canvas for the Thirroul Music Festival.
Wedged between the escarpment and the ocean, Thirroul has had a strong cultural footprint – a place where Brett Whiteley painted, D.H. Lawrence wrote "Kangaroo", and where art, rebellion, and saltwater have collided for over a century. This year's festival leans into that legacy, transforming the town’s most intimate spaces into stages for serious musical magic.
Whether you decide to rock up in a wetsuit for a surf beforehand or you’re just chasing the musical vibe, get ready to dive into a lineup that swings from sun-drenched folk to raw and honest indie and heart-on-the-sleeve alt-country.
This year's killer lineup includes:
Donavon Frankenreiter, Gareth Liddiard (The Drones), Grace Cummings, Floodlights, Elana Stone, Watty Thompson, Claire Anne Taylor, Warbaby, Sevilles, Blue Riders, Misso, William Alexander, Rhys Scoular, Shalani, Thirroul Community Choir - plus more acts and pop-up venues to be revealed soon.
