Franz Ferdinand — The Human Fear
Ever since their beginnings, throwing illegal parties in condemned Glasgow buildings, Franz Ferdinand have been defined by a fresh, unfading, forward-facing outlook. A transgressive art-school perspective, but with a love of a big song. A big riff. A big idea. Somewhat contrary. Unafraid to dance. Unafraid to think. Unafraid to fear.
Their sixth studio album, The Human Fear, courses with an energy that makes you feel very much alive. Fear makes you feel alive. Awake. A life without fear is a life asleep. Fear is what shows us our humanity. It’s why we search for it in horror films or extreme physical activities. The most life-defining moments are shaped by fear: acknowledging, accepting, or overcoming it.

Excellent despite the rain. Very engaging, professional and fun. Top band
The opening band Teenage Dads was really fun, loved Video Killed the Radio Star, then Franz Ferdinand came on, great songs, old and new, amazing interaction with the crowd. I hadn't seen them in a long time and it was worth the wait! Such a great band. Wish they could've played longer... The venue is good too, free water is appreciated in the humid weather and getting in and out was drama-free. Had to laugh at having to show my ID, it's been a long time...
Great show. Crowd interaction with band and one another was fun. Great night out!!
Franz Ferdinand proved the chant"No Scotland, No Party"as they slayed the crowd at Riverstage in Brisbane. There was "no fear"as they "hooked"the crowd. Take me out indeed!
From start to finish this show was fantastic! The rain didn’t stop for a minute but it did nothing to dampen the show. The band were energetic and very skilled at their craft. As a fellow Glaswegian, it was great to see a brilliant Scottish band in Melbourne. Thanks for a great night Franz Ferdinand!
