  • Disappointing

    We were very much looking forward to this Queen tribute however it’s the first time we have ever left a show at interval. The acoustics at the venue didn’t help. The music was too loud and drowned out the lyrics and the sound reverberated. Added to this, the lead singer playing Freddie seemed to struggle reaching the higher notes, often chopping words short and changing into a completely different key from the original song.

    My wife and I were so looking forward to this however once the show started we couldn’t stay in the area. The volume of the singer and the band was that loud that it was almost impossible to hear the words that they were singing. We left after 20 minutes into the first set. Maybe next time consideration needs to be taken with the volume levels considering the size of the auditorium. We were not the only ones who walked out. I’ve worked in hotels and clubs before with live bands and I wish that I had taken my DB metre with me to record the level that they were operating at and it had to be more that legally allowed. Louder isn’t always better as was the case here.
