Pearl Jam Dark Matter World Tour 2024

Joining special guests Pixies, Liam Finn will open proceedings in Auckland on November 8 and 10. Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers kick off the Australian shows at the Gold Coast on November 13, Melbourne on November 18 and Sydney on November 23, and Cosmic Psychos will feature at the Melbourne show on November 16 followed by Sydney on November 21.

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Thirty plus years of live performances, twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, Pearl Jam continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Pearl Jam's new album, Dark Matter, is out April 19, 2024.

Since the earliest days, Pearl Jam has used its platform to elevate people and causes that often go unnoticed or underserved. Much of the band’s philanthropic work is accomplished through its Vitalogy Foundation which to date has raised more than $50 million for organizations supporting issues such as abortion access, climate change and homelessness, and drawing attention to the fight against diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). In addition to the money Vitalogy donates, the band also donates signed instruments, posters and merchandise to organizations to use for their own fundraising purposes. Compounding the impact of Vitalogy Foundation, the band has supported Jeff Ament’s Montana Pool Service building skate parks in Montana and South Dakota. Pearl Jam also lends its voice to notable causes like the West Memphis 3, voting rights and fair ticketing practices. Over the past three decades, the band has a long history of standing up for what it believes in and putting its resources behind those beliefs.

Through its innovative Ten Club and fan engagement, community building, coveted poster designs, and longstanding activism and philanthropy, Pearl Jam continues to have a lasting impact on generations of music lovers.

  • AMAZING EXPERIENCE

by Tyson on 27/11/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Bloody unreal best band I’ve ever seen in live performance can’t wait to see them again! Went to 3 gigs and all were unreal!

  • Expensive

by Yep on 27/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 2 out of 5

Paid nearly $500 for tickets then within weeks tickets dropped to below $300. No upgrades, extras or even a drink voucher. Shows were great, Ticketmaster not so much.

  • Uneventful

by Jon C on 26/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 1 out of 5

The most boring, dull and uneventful concert I’ve been to. Been to 15 in the last 12 months. I have never seen so many people go for a drink or smoke all at once. Of they engaged the audience a lot more and not one every four or 5 songs, wouldn’t have happened as much.

  • Outstanding

by Fridge on 26/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I have been to. The energy and showmen ship was from the band was remarkable! Love it!

  • Loved Pearl Jam but hard to see them on stage

    by Kezza10 on 25/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Everything outside & was very hot queuing for T shirt, drinks, toilets, etc. Accor stadium all inside so a lot cooler. Sound system was really great for the bands. Sweated a lot but totally enjoyed the band. Though could not see them with shed in front of the stage!

  • Band ticked every box!

    by C.J. on 25/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I saw 4 out of the 5 OZ shows and each one was more mind blowing than the last! I last saw them in 2018 and they sounded even better this time. We were on the rail for all 4 shows and the Pearl Jam fans were amazing at looking after each other and certainly in fine voice. Our only concern was venue entry night two in Sydney which was a disaster compared to night one. They basically just let everyone run after being scanned in. Not safe and not fair to those who had camped over night. It didn't affect the enjoyment of the show but did create a lot of stress for people. Having said that, we Can't wait for the next tour!!!

  • Great besides the sound mixing

by Ear Jam on 25/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Pearl Jam themselves were awesome - they’ve still got it :) however the actual sound mixing was terrible. It was so loud that it was hurting my ears and I had to leave early before they even played some of my favourite songs, I heard other concert goers say the same thing…and I was seated so far away I could hardly make out the band members. Invest in better live gig audio mixing please! Like the old days! don’t skimp on the sound it will make or break the gig

  • WOW

by Donna on 25/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

UNBELIEVABLE, Incredibly brilliant FFFFF Amazing, I went on my own to see these guys, and I certainly was not on my own when the guys came out on stage. What an experience, absolutely will stay with me for many years.

  • Absolutely brilliant

by Wayne Sydney 23/11 on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Can not fault it. Sublime. Takes me back. Only change, more merch stores and people to sell.

  • Yeahhhhhhhh

by Moo on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

My phone got damaged on my way to the concert. Shit no ticket now couldnt remember my password cause who does ya click a button on ya phone and hay presto. Staff at the concert were amazing fixed it up for me wasnt a drama. Then to top it off was the best performance I’ve seen of Pearl Jam. What a night could’ve ended in disaster but thanks to Ticketmaster. Some absolutely amazing staff. And a band that just couldn’t disappoint. My night was saved

  • Loved it!

by Amazing! on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great concert waited 30 years to see them again and was not disappointed. Brought back so many memories and tears to my eyes!

  • Peak show

by Tomo on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 5 out of 5

To say that seeing Pearl Jam was a bucket list band to see is an understatement. After listening to them for 25 years as one of my all time favourite bands, the payoff was so worth it. The band played their hearts out, connected with the crowd regardless of where you were and brought the absolute house down. The whole show was a celebration of the pinnacle of rock and the band and crowd refusing to leave when the lights went on (thanks noise laws) was a sign of how big the show went. Engie stadium is amazing as a venue and I hope we see a resurgence in its use over the other arenas in Homebush. I’m waiting with baited breath for Pearl Jam to tour again!

  • Great performance, terrible venue

by Chops on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 3 out of 5

A fantastic performance by a great band. Loved the Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers and Pixies. Amazing performance. Let down by the ticketing and venue. Demand ticketing is a scourge and I will be sucked in again - $500/ticket when equivalent was $300 closer to the event (prob. Less closer to the event). I’ll wait next time or just not go. Engie stadium is not a great place to watch, unless ur in the front part of the field in front of the stage. The seats (section 228) were half a AFL field away, so could only watch on screens. And the sound was half a second later at the back - we got to hear everything twice. Luckily Pearl Jam and the supporting acts were amazing.

  • Pearl Jam

by Olly on 24/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 3 out of 5

Good gig disappointed paid $250 a ticket in GA n can’t even get in front of stage only the side ? Looking at a big screen mainly for all the shows! However bands sound n performances were very good! 👍

  • Overall great experience except being able to see

by Joey on 23/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Absolutely jam packed in the general standing area about halfway back. Couldn’t see the stage, just watched the screen all night. Would be better if the stage was a bit higher up so you could see from the back. Otherwise a great experience. Top performance.

  • Awesome

by Annie on 23/11/24ENGIE Stadium - Olympic ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was amazing ! Venue was a great. My only complaint was leaving. The security were absolutely pathetic. Barricades up everywhere. Caging people in. Hasn’t history taught them anything with the dangers of crowds. It was frightening.
