Pearl Jam Dark Matter World Tour 2024

Joining special guests Pixies, Liam Finn will open proceedings in Auckland on November 8 and 10. Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers kick off the Australian shows at the Gold Coast on November 13, Melbourne on November 18 and Sydney on November 23, and Cosmic Psychos will feature at the Melbourne show on November 16 followed by Sydney on November 21.

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band's lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. Thirty plus years of live performances, twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, Pearl Jam continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Pearl Jam's new album, Dark Matter, is out April 19, 2024.

Since the earliest days, Pearl Jam has used its platform to elevate people and causes that often go unnoticed or underserved. Much of the band’s philanthropic work is accomplished through its Vitalogy Foundation which to date has raised more than $50 million for organizations supporting issues such as abortion access, climate change and homelessness, and drawing attention to the fight against diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and epidermolysis bullosa (EB). In addition to the money Vitalogy donates, the band also donates signed instruments, posters and merchandise to organizations to use for their own fundraising purposes. Compounding the impact of Vitalogy Foundation, the band has supported Jeff Ament’s Montana Pool Service building skate parks in Montana and South Dakota. Pearl Jam also lends its voice to notable causes like the West Memphis 3, voting rights and fair ticketing practices. Over the past three decades, the band has a long history of standing up for what it believes in and putting its resources behind those beliefs.

Through its innovative Ten Club and fan engagement, community building, coveted poster designs, and longstanding activism and philanthropy, Pearl Jam continues to have a lasting impact on generations of music lovers.

  • Outstanding Vibes

by Dave on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

Pearl Jam Wow!!! What an off the scale Vibe… Why did it take me 33 years to experience your pure magic. Words can’t describe how good that concert was, you guys owned that stadium and everyone in it. And to experience it with my daughters Grace & Charlize. PRICELESS ❤️

  • Terrible seats

by Mel on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 1 out of 5

Concert was 10/10. Presale tix were deplorable. Paid a premium price for seats 8 rows from the very top. Absolutely Disgusted in the price I paid for such Bad seats Only good thing was that pearl jam was the Best

  • Great music process and logistical problems

by Tom on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 3 out of 5

Buying a ticket was easy. There was checking of tickets for fairness, reducing scalping and equity prior to the tickets being released to consumers, fabulous news. I feel this could have been communicated to consumers to enable understanding of process and explain delays for tickets being sent. Unfortunately a tent was erected in front of the stage which impacted on views of our seats. There were a number of persons impacted. This must have been frustrating for all involved. We felt The seats we were offered didn’t represent the same financial spend as we had initially paid. The seats offered compared to those on the floor had a 200 dollar difference in terms of purchase price and the physical difference was 3 metal steps between the two locations. Our view was obstructed and awful. I feel a financial remuneration would have softened the change as we were prepared to pay for the advertised “best seats.’

  • Great night

by Lily on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

  • Wrong seat

by Not happy on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 2 out of 5

We got there 45min before the first show to find out our seats where changed told to go to gate 5 to line up again to then be told we were on the side up the back so the view was not good at all half the stage was blocked from the level above everyone we spoke to was unhappy were they where put we missed the first show who we wanted to see 1hr of stuffing around where a email would have been nice maybe a refund as the night was not what we paid for.

  • Pearl Jam Concert

by Roz on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

Pearl jam were brilliant. Fantastic concert. Venue easy to get to.

  • Real rock concert

by Ctga on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 4 out of 5

Pearl Jam were amazing as it was just a good rock concert. I will say, it was loud so if you have sensitive ears maybe bring ear protection. Had the best time and have to say they are amazing live. Bucket list item ✅ Finding our seat was confusing as it said aisle xx but to get to our seat we actually had to go to another aisle.

  • Resale tickets

by David Free Europe on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

Bought resale tickets. Fantastic, clean, easy process. $100 off actual price. Just have to be patient!

  • Venue changed seating at last moment

by Hippy travellers on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 2 out of 5

After paying almost $1000 for 2 concert tickets and taking the time when purchasing those tickets to pick seating we were happy with, it was a huge disappointment to be notified the day before the concert that our section was now closed and we had to be reissued seats at Marvel stadium. Not happy with the seating, we went from front on seating to side seating and sat next to an extremely busy walk way, with people backwards and forwards constantly which then blocked our view of both the band ( Pearl Jam) and big screens next to band . Not worth the money we paid, and left extremely disappointed

  • Well worth it

by PJ FAN on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert and line up leading to Pearl Jam. Seated in the first level, great view …a couple of old songs and the usual mix of the tour mix. Getting out was a bit of a miss, a real people soup with lots of rows going in the opposite direction and people bumping each other.

  • Stormy Pearl Jam

by Dazzlebrush on 17/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was delayed because of the presence of thunder storms and as a result finished late. Bottom line is One of the Best Concerts I have been to and I am totally thrilled to have been there.

  • Worst APP

by Kat on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 1 out of 5

worst app experience. App constantly freezes, despite upgrading, reloading app, upgrading software etc. unable to load tickets.. just awful!

  • Pixies and Pearl Jam Phenomenal, sound mix awful

by Sam on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 3 out of 5

The bands were all incredibly tight, and played phenomenally. But the mixing of the sound was woeful. Lots of echo, too much reverb. It sounded like the stage speakers and the speaker towers weren’t synced up, so there was a constant delay in the speaker towers. It made it very difficult to understand what Eddie Vedder was saying, as well as very hard to hear what the bands were playing. Guitar solos’s were a huge let down as you couldn’t hear individual notes because of the poor sound mix.

  • Pearl Jam put on an exceptional show!

by Nicole on 17/11/24Marvel Stadium - DocklandsRating: 5 out of 5

Congratulations on putting on an amazing experience for all the crowd. We did feel our seating was changed from our booking. We thought the diagram showed off to the side of the stage, but ended up further away looking at the stage front on.

  • Wet and chaotic, yet still fabulous!

by Shelley on 15/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 3 out of 5

Massive thunderstorms delayed our event and made getting to the venue challenging! The concert itself was even better than I could have ever imagined. Eddie Vedder has still got it after all these years! The pixies were great but didn’t get to play their full set due to delays caused by the storm. Unfortunately the unorganised chaos that followed after the concert was terribly disappointing with everyone trying to exit all at once. There appeared to be very little crowd control following the concert which made it quite unsafe! Also better direction signage or instructions would be helpful when unloading bus patrons at the venue.

  • Pearl Jam concert - 13th Nov 2024

by Cher M on 15/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 1 out of 5

Firstly, the Pearl Jam and Pixes performance was awesome given the storm delay, totally grateful to have seen them. The Gold Coast Stadium (People First) on the other hand was poorly managed. It was very evident the stadium was not equipped to host anything other than smaller events. The organisers were very lucky that no patrons (including people in wheelchairs) on the field were not crushed when exiting after Pearl Jam finished. Security staff were overwhelmed and had no control on directing Patrons outside of the stands. Transport was another big issue, there was no plan B for an event running overtime and certainly not equipped to handle the Patron numbers. Event organisers had more than enough notice of weather forecasts, and such planning should be staple. Investing in visual moniters on the outside of the Stadium stands would have kept Patrons informed as vocal was not audible due to the rain etc and phone services were stretched, again due to the volume of Patrons. Trains, Taxi's and some bus lines stopped at midnight due to fatigue management. Uber drivers cancelled prebooked fares for price gouging purposes. The end result was an extensive volume of Patrons left displaced, with overcrowded shuttle buses transferring Patrons away from the Stadium to Broadbeach South station, who were then left to battle out Uber drivers or walk back to hotels etc. Overall, the Gold Coast Mayor, The Peoples First Stadium and event organisers need to do much better for paying Patrons to these events and for their safety. The Pearl Jam concert was not a one off for the situation at The Peoples First Stadium and certainly leaves a distasteful stain on the Gold Coast.

  • Great music, disappointing venue

by MH on 14/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 3 out of 5

Watched Pearl Jam at People First Stadium Carrara on the Gold Coast. Obviously Pearl Jam were outstanding but the whole experience was tarnished by extremely poor venue management and a disastrous exit strategy. Trying to funnel thousands of people through not enough exits. Took over an hour just to get out of the stadium and on to a bus. Never again.

  • People first stadium

by Scooter on 14/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 1 out of 5

Pearl Jam were amazing. The venue has a lot to be desired, poor direction, long lines for food and drinks, ran out of water, expensive food, 1 exit for 50 odd thousand people shuttle buses were slow no parking even at the designated places will not go back to people first stadium for a concert again

  • The stadium experience

by Maybejen on 14/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 4 out of 5

Ticket purchase was problematic because i was not given a choice of seats and would have purchased better ones if i knew it was possible. It is a very pressured situation. Ticket transfer and resale facility was possible - the former only 48 hours before the event though which was stressful. Transport arrangements were excellent- we caught the train from Brisbane then the free shuttle bus. Plenty of staff available for directions on arrival - all well trained. Management of the storm was also very good. We were able to shelter under cover in the concourse under the grandstands where there was food, drinks and toilets. Updates were provided often. Due to the storm, unfortunately Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers were cancelled and the Pixies cut short. However, Pearl Jam played for a full 2 hours which was great. The band were amazing and the set list was great. The banter from Eddie Vedder was individualised to this location and this crowd which was really special and much appreciated. The visual graphics also had local content. The acoustics were ok - not great, due to the fact that it was a stadium. The band are just specs on the stage and you watch the screen. The stadium experience is impersonal but you get a comfortable seat so thats the payoff. Unfortunately, the price of tickets is so high, its hard to justify that amount of money to see 2 bands.

  • Awesome

    by Dee76 on 14/11/24People First Stadium - CarraraRating: 5 out of 5

I had such an amazing experience. I prepared for a wet night, cancellation, traffic congestion etc. So, with patience, I thoroughly enjoyed my night
