After a relentless touring schedule that has taken them across the world, hardcore staples SPEED are coming home for an Australian tour in celebration of their debut album ONLY ONE MODE, out July 12 via Last Ride Records/ Flatspot Records.

ONLY ONE MODE, a phrase coined by the group, encapsulates the band’s overarching ethos: Hardcore, played hard, played fast, “for us, by us”—explicit, immediate, definitive—hinting at all the crucial bands that have come before them. Having grown exponentially since first forming in 2019, SPEED have only doubled down on their values, doing what they do for the love of their friends, family and the culture of Australian hardcore as exemplified in lead single 'REAL LIFE LOVE'.

Last week ,SPEED dropped another preview of the album with 'THE FIRST TEST', a dynamic, groove-driven number with lyrics that speak on striking out alone and growing in a world that’s both beautiful and ugly. Always ones to do things on their own terms, the accompanying music video was produced by SPEED together with long-time collaborators Jack Rudder and Thomas Elliot.
